Well right now he is playing 2 holding mids as mezzalas, in Sturaro and Khedira. All you have to do is invert the CMs positioning with Pjanic and it looks reasonable.

Pjanic
Marchisio-Rincon

You can play this in a 3-4-1-2 or in a 4-2-3-1. If you want Dybala to stay at SS then you play 3-4-1-2. If you want him wider so you can include Pjaca/Cuadrado then you play 4-2-3-1.

But I don't see how Sturaro and Khedira as box to box is a solution. It's far from the solution in fact.
Last time we were creative with our tactics and squad rotation was away to Bayern, and even then he fucked it up by taking out Morata. ain't nobody got time to prepare for some lowly serie a match.

Humility is great word and mentality to approach any game. Humility gives you strength, it swallows arrogance, destroys complacency, it keeps you focused, it brings out an appetite.

I can think of many examples in this game where we forgot who we are and why we are here today. These guys need to understand the importance of trying. I don't care about losing but humility will help to bring out the lion in you why? Because you will never forget who you are. We are Juve and that word itself should spark fire but only through humility will you rediscover yourself and who you are representing.

Sounds good?

There is just something really wrong with this team this year. I dont really think its about formation or player selection, even though Allegri makes a lot of strange choices this year.

The biggest problem seems to be a lack of motivation, chemestry and gameplan. At the same time a lot of the players seems frustrated. All that arguing with the referee and teammstes just make me sick. Hell Higuain looked like somebody took hes prematch Donuts, with all the yelling and angry bodylanguege.

I can tell you simply what's wrong

This team just isn't that good compared to squads of the past 2-3 years

We shouldn't field a 3-5-2 ever again. It's creating much more trouble than fixing issues right now. Our defence is not good enough to justify this sacrifice, our midfield is not good and strong enough to dominate the opponents midfield anymore and our strikers look extremely isolated. Additionally, we have to leave out Pjanic, who seems to be clicking well in such a system.

Today we were a mess. We were not bad. We just were clueless. No knowing how to properly create dangers for Fiorentina.

Part of the problem is our opponents have no fear anymore. A couple years ago, they used to give us the ball and put all 11 in their own box. Since then it's been a steady growth of confidence game after game it seems.

I mean, we have literally substituted Pogba for Sturaro at LCM. Pogba was always hard to press, teams would back off of him because of his pace and strength. Vidal would always find a way to get in between the lines or even on their last man. Khedira is lucky to cross midfield.

It's just a loss of overall dynamism in midfield that gives the other team confidence to push on top of us.

But Allegri is not changing the setup. Perhaps if it was a wing based formation, you would see more hesitancy from the opposition. Cuadrado, Pjaca, Dybala on the outside are all more threatening to the opposition than protecting against the 3rd attacker, usually Sturaro or Khedira.

"Like ok, we are going to press and if they knock it up to Higuain or Dybala, and the 2nd ball falls in between the line, will Juve even have anyone there to take advantage? If they do, is it Khedira or Sturaro? Great then, who cares."

Needs to sack the training staff. Ridiculous, that players keep getting muscular problems.

And needs to get his head out of his ass in the big away games. Sturaro is a joke of a player, and Khedira needs to hit the bench for a few matches, because his form is disastrous. He's a good coach, but he needs to utilize his more creative players better.

We still have Napoli and Roma away this year. And while I still don't see us losing the scudetto, we should be running away with it, with this team, and going all in for the CL.

Also, Beppe needs to get us another CM or CAM who can create. Without Pjanic on the pitch we look hopeless in that regard from the middle.

Great post and I do agree with you. I have been going on and on about the two holding mids as well and how much I hate Stu and Khedira as btb midfielders. Its fucking horrible to watch.

I do however fell there is something else missing as well. The team just seems switched off and not interested way to often this year. If we are not determined and motivated no change in formation is going to help us.

Our weak midfield has a lot to do with poor performances and so has injuries. We should still be capable of playong better football though. Sturaro starting so many games is really frustrating i hope we won't see much of him again.

Pjanic should of played tonight and Pjaca and Rincom should of had more minutes as it was clear that Rincon is much better than Sturaro.
