Dropping Lichtsteiner from the CL squad is the biggest clue that 3-5-2 is going to be used most of the time. But we surely need to find a better attacking system than we have so far.

Problem is our MF offers nothing at all. Too slow, too predicatble...

Allegri needs to find a solution. If he wants to continue playing the 3-5-2, i would be tempted to play Cuadrado as a CM instead of Khedira.
We need to find a way to link midfield and attack better.
Higuain and Dybala seem too isolated and there is a big gap from midfield. I don't know if a solution is to make Pjanic play closer to them, one of the rare times we looked fluid this season was vs Sassuolo when Pjanic got himself closer to the strikers.

Our midfield seems weak as fuck. From our strongest part to our weakest. Our defence and attack are world class but none to connect those 2. And without support from the midfield, Dybala looks isolated too and beaten down way too much.
We urgently need some muscle in the midfield and someone that can play the deep lying playmaker role when Marchisio is out. I am convinced that once Marchisio is back Pjanic and Khedira will look great again.

Listen, seriously guys, i dont want to continue bashing allegri...i really dont. But ill just say we need to ring the bells and try to find a solution to this. Last week it was dybala, this week was Buffon who criticized the performance of the team. You dont see players like them talking like this everyday. Is not about lack of fitness anymore. Something deeper is going on and i hope Allegri fixes this soon.
Our mdifield is not clicking and our 352 depended on the old MVP performances.
Allegri needs to find a way to make this thing workl...or agnelli and co will have to show the money and buy players to make our nmidfield work. Because if this is our limit....then like buffon said...it is not enought to go all the way.
Im waiting for marchisio´s return....and im pretty sure we will up at least a level when he comes back...but do not fool ourselves thinking he is some kind of saviour. Our other midfielders need to perform and i see too many inconsistencies in them right now.

Today It was a performance according to Max plan. We didn't use anyone to cross any line for the middle except Dybala so our only options are crosses and long passes. Lyon put till 3 players in each wing and lines were to close and disable our long passes choices so Max got the game he was expecting except he found out that the Ref bet his mortgage against us
