Allegri: 'Admirable Juventus'
By Football Italia staff

Max Allegri thanked Juventus for an “admirable performance” to beat Inter 2-0 and tried to reassure the Nerazzurri.

The Bianconeri consolidated their leadership of Serie A with a 2-0 victory, decided by Leonardo Bonucci’s volley and an Alvaro Morata penalty.

“Inter are a tough side and they will continue to challenge for third place,” insisted Allegri on Mediaset Premium.

“We have moved them further away from the top, but we are already thinking about Wednesday’s Coppa Italia semi-final. I realised in the first leg that our season was changing.”
These two sides already met for the first leg in January, Juventus emerging 3-0 winners, so Inter have a mountain to climb next week.

“The lads did really well and it was important to take home the victory. This was an admirable performance after the intense Tuesday night game with Bayern Munich.

“Inter left us many spaces and we needed to speed the ball up with our passing. At times we managed that, at others we did not, but we didn’t have the strength to keep that going throughout.

Once again, Allegri’s changes proved impressive, as Alvaro Morata came off the bench and almost immediately scored.

“Players coming off the bench can be decisive. At the end of the season whether you played more or less, everyone contributed and everyone wins.

“Now we have one less obstacle on our path to the Scudetto, we remain top of the table and there are 11 left. The more we win, the less we have left to do.”

Allegri was again asked about his future, even though Chelsea seem to have opted for Antonio Conte.

“I speak to Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici every day. We have a great rapport. I am happy at Juventus and we’ll see about the future at the right time.

“Someone in the media wanted to send me away when we were losing, so I smile because I know that’s the name of the game. We are still fighting and want to go all the way.”

What a BOSS!

I was thinking how kinda scary is the post-Allegri era would be. Then I remembered that JUVE made the invincible Conte and actually made a champion of Allegri too!

 Here is to Andrea Agnelli who took this team back where it belongs.

during one of his post-match interviews, allegri told that hernanes can become important in the middle of the field, so marchisio can play mezz'ala again.

now that's some news.

Take cheese out of position just to play nanes as a regista?. Not convinced.

Marchisio will get to be casper again.
yeh, really. Why change something that works. Is not worth the effort for hernanes.
Better spend that effort in returning pereyra to top form.

'Chiellini was fit to play’
By Football Italia staff

Giorgio Chiellini 'was fit to play’ for Juventus on Sunday before limping off injured, assures Massimiliano Allegri.

The defender returned from a calf injury in the 2-0 win over Inter only to be forced off with another knock.

Reports say he is now in danger of missing the Champions League second leg against Bayern Munich, as the club await the results of today’s tests.

Allegri assured that the Italy international was fit in today’s Press conference ahead of Thursday’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg against Inter.

“Chiellini started on Sunday because he was fit to play, now we’ll wait and see the results of his exam,” said Allegri.

“Raguno is young and playing will only help his development. Pereyra is in the frame for Inter.

“Evra was absent at the weekend for personal reasons but he’ll be back for tomorrow night.

“We’re in great shape but it’s only March and technically we haven’t won anything yet.

“In goal? Buffon has been extraordinary for 20 years now. Neto will start tomorrow.

“Inter will attack us, they have nothing to lose. For me, we will need to score at least once tomorrow.

“Ultimately, all that counts is reaching the Coppa Italia final for the second year in a row.”
i doubt we will have to score one :p

Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly a target for Real Madrid if they sack Zinedine Zidane this summer.

Los Merengues appointed the Frenchman as Rafa Benitez’s replacement in January, but a defeat at home to city rivals Atletico Madrid has all-but eliminated them from the title race.

Any hope of silverware now lies with the Champions League, where Zidane’s side hold a 2-0 lead over Roma going into the second leg of their Last 16 tie.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that if Zidane fails to impress on the European stage, Madrid President Florentino Perez will look for a replacement this summer.

The newspaper believes that Juventus boss Max Allegri is one of the names in the frame, having impressed Perez when the Bianconeri eliminated Madrid in last-year’s semi-final.

The Blancos patron has reportedly sought the advice of Milan’s joint-CEO Adriano Galliani, who spoke of the Tuscan tactician in glowing terms.

Allegri has also been linked with the Chelsea job, but it’s believed the Old Lady are lining-up a new contract to keep the Coach in Turin.

Either a capello tyrant type that can whip these cry babies into shape or someone with enough class that can manage their egos very well like Ancellotti. I still have no idea why Madrid sacked a guy that the entire squad wanted to stay and that has been very successful with the club, only to replace him with a lesser coach that the players did not want and the management was not willing to back at all. Why sack a good leader for a bad one that you would undermine from day 1?

Perez is a great businessman but he makes the weirdest management moves that I have ever seen. I thought he'd have learned from his past galactico mistakes when he hired Mou and the Ancellotti. He threw it all away by getting Benitez and undermining him from the start.
