Idk about better team, but we had arguably one of the best midfield in the world at the time. Barzagli was the ultimate beast, but bonnuci really shone after conte last season, and at allegri 1st season.

To sums it up: We had better team right now, but we're not as strong as 2012/2014 in midfield. Defense wise we're about the same.

And we cant judge whos better solely from those stats, when conte reigns, serie A much weaker than now. One could say allegri have a better teams, but he's also have much better opponent.
We are wayyyyyyy stronger now than in 12/13. Our depth and starting 11 are better, and we have a better coach.

Isn't this the NET - GROSS mix up again?

Are you sure Allegri isn't on 3.5 net with Juve, and the offer is 7 mil gross from Chelsea?
That is ofcourse net salary(in both cases) if the report is true which i doubt.

Allegri is a top manager in the market right now so ofcourse teams would be ready to offer big bucks.I mean why would he go there just to accept a similar salary ? Just a common sense thing.

Yes but our midfield in 2012/2013 is way better, depth wise and quality wise.

Pogba 2015/16 > Marchisio 2012/13
Marchisio 2015/16 = Pirlo 2012/13
Khedira 2015/16 < Vidal 2012/13

Way better ? I disagree.

Pirlo,Vidal,Marchisio,Pogba,Padoin,Marrone.(Considering Asamoah as a WB) is way better than Marchisio,Pogba,Khedira,Asamoah,Sturaro,Lemina,Hernanes,Pereyra ? Man you guys love to overrate the past sometimes..

defence has improved a great deal (mostly, bonucci), midfield is sort off the same, attack improved a great deal

And in 12/13, both barcelona and especially bayern had a better midfield

Pirlo, prime vidal, pogba, marchisi3o. Okay depth wise we're screwed. but for 3 starter i'd say those midfield is way better. Pirlo really decisive, vidal creates goal and defending like crazy mofos. Sure pogba wasn't great like nowadays, but for me those 2012/13 midfield was WC.

Are there any comments from Marotta or Allegri about these rumors? @Mark
Marotta "Allegri has the characteristics to coach Juventus for many more years. We will discuss the renewal before the start of next season"
Allegri himself stated he's happy here and that he has a contract until 2017 when asked about Chelsea rumors.

I know, I know, but are there any recent comments? Because the Vidal case made me a little paranoid with Marotta statements.
Vidal was a selfdestructive alcoholic who's unprofessional behavior was running out of hand, but then he got the chance to join a big club.

Allegri is italian, managing the greatest italian team, that publically backed him consistantly when Juve had its worst start in history. He's not leaving lol, he knows he aint going to get such support anywere. And after beeing subject to berlusconi's torture, he knows to appreciate this fact.

But what's sure is we will offer a renewal.Personally think he'll stay on until 2018 and then leave to try out a new experience.

You have no idea how much I hope you are right. But with Juve I have seen so many times the unthinkable.

I just don't wanna lose him. Fecking calciomerkato, those bastards. Why do they have to be so mean to the achy breaky juve heart? I really hope as soon as possible someone from the staff will say how much of a morons those journalists are.

Guys, why are some of you so critical of Conte? Is it not enough that he is a Juve legend and he pulled us out by the scruff of our necks and resurrected our brand, our identity and our sense of belonging? I find it a tad bit unfair that he comes in for criticism for the kind of football that he played just because he's not with us anymore. Fact is, if we we ever were to hit a bumpy patch again, and he was one of the available coaches, a majority of you guys would take him back in a heartbeat.

You'll could argue that we are only comparing him to his successor. But that comparison is just unfair. They have two different styles, they have two different teams on a technical level. And most importantly, a lot of you guys forget that even the current winning streak is coming from the base that Conte created with that 352 variant. Let's cut the guy some slack and show him a little more respect.

When it's all said and done, Allegri and Conte will both hold their place in our history and legend, and while Allegri has some work to do to get to the pedestal we all want to see, it shouldn't detract from his work or that of his predecessor.

Let's just give them both their pride of place and give them the respect they deserve.
Who cares about his football, he's just irrelevant.

We have better opponents this season (Napoli) which seem on par with if not better than Garcia's first season at Roma, but last season Serie A had no one. Also 2011 Conte had allegri's milan to go against who were also quite good. So no Serie A was not much weaker as far as competing for 1st spot goes.

Marchisio is great and all but saying he's equal to Pirlo is just not true. Pirlo was a player who could win a game almost by himself when on song.

Giaccherini was our main backup then and we very rarely had to use anyone else than Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Pogba or Giaccherini.
