Guardiola started at barcelona with the best team in the world
Stopped when they peaked.
Joined the team that utterly brutalised them
neutered them from the best team of the decade to just "a very very strong team".

When he goes to a team that is not Bayern or Barcelona, and he actually has to play evenly matched opponents, his shortcommings as a coach will shine.

Cmon Osman. Luis enrique is repeating what he did, and we know that he is good but not that good either.
Where in all this narrow focus of his flaws only and not what he proven so far in his career (I agree he overcomplicated in Bayern in his tactical obsessions) do you actually reply to what I asked zizinho?

Yes, they are biased and also stupid, but Allegri should be on the list, because of the double and a CL final. You can also argue that Pep failed hard, when you look at the team he had.

Edit - Wait, didn't Bayern only win the league? :howler:
Allegri must be on the list, even if it was just top 3.

Pep lost in CL semi, naive tactics in first leg with 3 man high line defence (especially first 20 minutes), but I wouldn't say failed hard, lost to a better team and attack. It would have been failed hard for sure if they hadn't lost to the only superior team at that time. The more likely failed hard bit was the season before Imo.

Wait they didn't win the cup, you serious? I care little for German footie, but recall hearing they did.

I would put Allegri ahead of Guardiola too but let's not forget this award is for the calendar yr 2015 not for the 14-15 season so Allegri's poor start this season along with Guardiola's blistering start with Bayern dents his chances so it's kind of understandable even though I don't completely agree.

Having said that , one must be absolutely retarded to deny Guardiola isn't a better coach than Allegri.

Thanks for the life line, I was starting to think I'm drowning in blind stupidity here lol.

And agreed with rest, I thought Pep / Bayern won double too, in that case Allegri should be ahead of its only for last season.

Luis enrique was fired in serie a, and won a trebble with an inferior iniesta and messi, without xavi.

Guardiola only ever managed the best team.

Mourinho for example, won a trebble with an inferior porto and inter.

Ancelotti won several CL with very different teams, and his madrid was a big task of balancing around.

I dont rate guardiola, unless he wins things with what is not by a landslide the best team
