A player is not measured solely in statistics, particularly somebody who plays Claudio's position (DM), and who was also hurt early in the year.
I never said the player has been spectacular this season -- nobody on the team has been, in case you haven't been watching. Marchisio is a huge stabilizing force in the lineup, he's a huge part of the team -- and if you can't simply see that, if it's not apparent to you that we're a much better team with him in the lineup than without, I don't know what else to say. No point writing an essay on his attributes, as I used to do in the "Casper" days.
You don't think Marchisio could have helped at all against Roma, Napoli, or Fiorentina? Early in the season, during a massive injury crisis, with the team out of sorts? Seriously? Did you see Hernanes get utterly annihilated against Napoli?

He is the most important player in the team now because he has no substitute and plays a key role without which none of the other players (the midfield) can function. We need to get him a proper substitute this winter otherwise we will go back to not having an organized midfield and consequently no attack.

He has a completely different role now than he used to during the casper days. Pirlo was doing the role he is responsible for now. Marchisio back then was a box to box who had so many ups and downs (more downs). Pogba took his spot as soon as we knew he was talented.

I tought Marchisio was MotM, but thats just me.
Him and Barzagli were excellent all game long, but Marchisio was everywhere. Half of the time we were recovering passes or player lines were cut, it was marchisio. All the one touch recoveries or short combinations to get out of trouble from the back, also marchisio, most of the good passes going forward, marchisio.
Milan sucked gigantic balls compared to their usual suckage, because Marchisio's defensive game.
However, if we had an aggressive cm like vidal or Naingollan, instead of Hernanes or Sturaro, Milan wouldnt have gotten past the midline. We really miss an aggressive pressing midfielder.

Well of course he does. He's not being shifted all over the pitch every week, playing LM, or TQ, or wherever a coach needs him to 'do a job'. 
Make no mistake, his football IQ, his work ethic, they're huge -- he can 'do a job' anywhere in midfield, and beyond.
His attributes though, his qualities, remain the same. He's just now in a position where he can express himself better, where he can play to his strengths.
He definitely interprets the role differently than Andrea -- and he was better than Pirlo in that role last year.

Milan were beyond terrible yet we only created one or two chances. We were almost as bad until we scored the goal and then we played with a bit more urgency but otherwise we stunk just a little bit less than Milan. We'll definitely get found out against quality opposition soon just like we did against Roma and Napoli.
We did well against Inter and were arguably closer to victory. That is a good opposition if this season is anything to go by. The games against Roma and Napoli came in a difficult moment as we did struggle in the beginning due to many changes in the squad, but over te last 7-8 games it was rather typical Juve performance of the past few years. We grind results and derby games have never been easy to begin with. The team has shown enough confidence and capability to overcome certain difficultes over the last few months and it looks like players have settled down. We didnt cruise to victory in the last season's derby games (Milan, Roma, Torino...) either and were fortunate to find ourselves on the winning side.
Despite all the struggles we have all but qualifed for the next round in the CL, while being placed in the strongest group of this year's competition and the teams at the head of the Serie A table are whithin our reach. Have people seen Roma yesterday and the way they struggled against Bologna? How many goals they tend to concede per game due to defensive howlers? Inter or Napoli so far? The fact is neither team has been impressive and considering how many points we squandered in the beginning against inferior opposition we are not that far off from the top. And there are 25 games left...
