@zizinho back then calmed me down and said we were phasing them out and he was right. Last season Marchisio showed that he can take Pirlo's place and we did not even rely on Vidal almost at all. But I think even he didn't expect Marotta to suddenly let go of all 3 at once without adequately replacing them. Last season I was so relieved to know that we can have a very powerful starting 11 without Pirlo, Tevez, Barzagli and Vidal. Marotta crushed that when we didnt sign a Pirlo replacement and a CAM.

:cronios:
we kinda have Hernanes now as Marchisio backup but he seems to be done. hasnt really had any good games this season, and if Marchisio will be missing games as much as he did so far, i dont think we can rely on Hernanes only. the other option is Lemina, who is better defensively and a good passer. im hoping he can grow in that role and make it his own in a few years, but right now id try to use him more next to Marchisio or in Marchisios role but with Khedira also playing. but another thing im interested to see is, how well would Khedira play infront of the defense. where he plays right now is his preferred and his best position probably so i would only try him there when Marchisio is out and we already have someone who will play in Khediras place. defensively, there should be no problems but also hes an underrated passer imo, and his decision making is excellent, which would help him a lot there. this would limit him going forward which takes away from his game, but as a temporary solution when Marchisio is out, id try it out. i doubt he would be worse than Hernanes.

Vidal leaving took me off guard like everyone, i never expected it to happen. but Pirlo and Tevez were either this or next summer so i kinda expected it, but was hoping they both stay another year. right now we dont field an AM, we play with Cuadrado on the right with Morata acting as a "false winger" on the other side. it wasnt really impressive so far, especially now that Cuadrado is in bad form for a few games. the closest thing to last season we can field is our usual midfield of Marchisio-Khedira-Pogba with Pereyra behind Morata and Dybala, and id try it as soon as Pereyra is back. he was very underrated here last season and still is i think. he is very good in that role and as soon as he recovers id give him a run of games in the starting XI and who knows, maybe going back to a proven formula can put our season back on the right track.

Um... We was our caretaker when Conte and Alessio were both banned and we were up the creek without the paddle... So to speak! and kept our undefeated run!
yeah but that was with "Contes team" and only for 2-3 months. also, Conte was still the coach during that time, Carrera was only on the sidelines during matchdays...

Please stop mythologizing Carrera. He did great during his REALLY SHORT span but that doesn't mean he would do any good if he was a full time first team coach. Remember that Conte was still behind that team back then during every day work. Carrera only replaced him during games and still was probably getting some messages from him.

I mean surely if he was this super talented manager, like some people here are trying to make him, at least a middle-table team would give him a chance already.

He would most likely be just another Ciro Ferrara.

But his in-match decisions......

People satisfied with an ugly win at home and 10th place. Be happy with it because it may turn the season around.
Some people seem to take it as a sign we will win the scudetto again.

We just got badly outplayed at home by mid table Torino. If Serie A wasn't the weakest it's ever been we'd probably be even lower in the standings.

The top 3 teams in Serie A.

Fiorentina is also bottom of their Europa League group.

Inter is not even playing in Europe this year.

Roma has 2 points from 3 games in a weak Champion's League group.

How is Serie A weaker than the past 4 seasons?
