In Allegri We Trust

I agree that you need ugly wins to win championships and the game against Torino last year was just as terrible. I think the reason why people are extremely negative at the moment is because we can't spot a gameplan at all. So even if the we get a few wins in a row it will still be a problem that our team dont have an identity to fall back on the next time we face difficulties
It's hard to build identity, set your minds on specific system, when your most important players are getting injured all the time. First Khedira, then Marchisio and it followed by Mandzukic, Morata, Pereyra, Khedira again, Licht needed surgery for cardiac arrhythmia ffs, Pereyra got injured vs Atalanta, Marchisio got flu before Sassuolo and Khedira got subbed out early tonight. Conditions have been less than perfect so far in the season and I refuse to believe that a coach that brought us to CL final last year, won domestic double, turned to shit all of a sudden. :)

Started 4-3-1-2, Khedira injury leaves us switching to 4-3-3, and Hernanes spent the whole game getting in Marchisio's way, so our midfield was a shambles. Pogba was the lone bright spot. Very few mistakes, stunning goal, very good game.

Dybala made a nice dummy to create space for Pogba's goal, and put in a perfect pass that almost led to a 2nd by Pogba, but otherwise was lousy. Morata was played wide left and seemingly told to stay wide as he rarely came into the middle until just before being sub'd. He ended up playing like a defensive winger all match. Shambles of a team performance. We probably should have lost 3-1.

What? He sub'd Sandro in because he's our best crosser, and he wanted to feed crosses to Mandzukic.

It didn't quite work that way and instead we got very lucky that Torino had a defensive brainfart in the 94th minute, and Pogba made a very smart play to set Sandro free to make his low cross.
Well, that statement has no logic.Maybe Sandro is the best passer(only for a LB and that has to be proved yet) but why Alegri didn't sub Evra as his natural sub ,but Dybala? This seems logical to you?

we're only 6 pts behind the top 3, we can make that up.
What happened with the preseason predictions that the Scudetto is a done thing just the CL will be a problem?

they were wrong? It's easy to say that in hindsight though. Fact is did anyone really expect us to be this bad this season? I still think we will do an AC Milan in 2013 and reach the top 3, we're just trying to find our feet atm. Hopefully get a playermaker in january too.

I always said we would struggle if Marchisio gets injured or does not repeat last season's form. I didn't know he would be injured for the 1st few months of the season obviously so I didnt think it would get THAT bad.

Check my postings in the Mercato thread in the summer. I repeatedly said we need a vice marchisio and that dybala is not enough to replace Tevez. Only dybala + a world class CAM can. When we signed hernanes I honestly expected him to be better than he has been so far. I thought he is a decent rotation option for CAM with pereyra and CM with Marchisio. So far he has been terrible replacing either.

Even before last season (when Conte left) I was freaking out about having to replace Tevez, Pirlo, Barzagli and one of Pogba and Vidal especially that all this was to take place under Allegri (i thought little of him back then.. I said he strikes me like a Mancini in the making). I said Roma are in a better position than us because their squad core is young while ours was either too old or too good to stay.

@zizinho back then calmed me down and said we were phasing them out and he was right. Last season Marchisio showed that he can take Pirlo's place and we did not even rely on Vidal almost at all. But I think even he didn't expect Marotta to suddenly let go of all 3 at once without adequately replacing them. Last season I was so relieved to know that we can have a very powerful starting 11 without Pirlo, Tevez, Barzagli and Vidal. Marotta crushed that when we didnt sign a Pirlo replacement and a CAM.

His lucky ass saved today thanks to Buffon and Cuadrado but with another disastrous performance he proved that our sinusoidal form will continue during next weeks . so i think with today win he can save his job for another month but he will face sack in December .

After next International break we will play this matches every 4 days :

Milan (Home) 21st Nov
City (Home)
Palermo (Away)
Lazio (Away)
Sevilla (Away)
Fiorentina (Home) 13 December

So we will have to play in 6 difficult and crucial matches after break and i think we will suffering so much in this matches specifically when we can't collect a win against in form teams such as Roma Udinese Sassuolo Napoli and Inter till now and if things remain same I can imagine his sack will arrive after this period .

You can't just replace Pirlo. He's Pirlo. The only real replacement would be Veratti, and he's not available.

Hernanes is... let's just say I expected more from him too. Then again, he's 30 years old and a Brazilian, and we all know how they fared historically in a Juve shirt.

It's unfortunate for Allegri that Marotta had his nose pulled about Draxler all summer long and Bayern wouldn't let go of Gotze. Hernanes is by far the worst of every AM we were connected with over the summer.

If we get a good streak, we'll be very high up the table

If Pogba delivers on todays promise and those around him start to finish, i have full confidence in it

He got lucky with the subs no dount.

In the end, the game was open for both teams, gigi had some wondersaves, and we hitted the post in what was going to be a great goal. They also scored and unstoppable goal.

Ill take the 3 points because we fouhgt for it in the last minutes, but yeah, we still seems kinda clueless.

Allegri must be evaluated in january to seee if he continues or not. He has a lot of work to do yet, and sadly this win cant eclipse all the bad things that have happened

That said, im happy for the win and screamed that cuadrado goal for sure.

Lets hope they finally get their shid straight and stop embarrasing the juventus name.

I think an additional 2 year contract extension on top of his current deal would give him the coaching viagara he needs to take us back to the top

We rely too much on luck. The confusion from the mercato has filtered down to the team. Allegri didn't feel comfortable playing Khedira against Sass and now we see why. This is more of an indictment on the management. However this team lacks discipline, too much petulance. We attack and arent threatening, too slow so we don't even win dangerous free kicks.Too much individualism as well. There is a lot to fix, its not psychological which is why a win doesn't dig us out of this. Mechanics need to change. A lot to be done.

Keeping Morata out on the left hurt the team going forward. When he did drift in and played as a CF that can hold the ball and be played off the movement of the ball looked a bit more fluid. But the main problem is the attitude after the first goal. We weren't at all prepared to put Toro to the sword and instead sat deeper and deeper inviting them to attack the goal. Its not as if we didn't risk anything and got unlucky again with a freak goal conceded. We were lucky not two concede a second goal.

There was no improvement from the Sassuolo game and that's the main concern here. We still looked brainless with the ball and bar a pogba wonder goal and a lucky 94th minute winner we did absolutely nothing. We can't break down a deep lying defence and we still give away too many free kicks around our box

Also we must have about 15 corners a game and we waste them by giving away free kicks or passing directly to their keeper. We're so poor on our own set plays and I don't get it at all considering the aerial presence we have

Last season showed we dont need the best Pirlo that can do the unthinkable. We just need someone like Marchisio that can play when marchisio is injured to equal effect.

You cant expect Allegri to have a clear concept, when our managememt failed to bring him the one, single type of player he asked for, and that is a proper AM. Thats why i cant blame Allegri, thats why most of thr blaming.goes to our management who failed miserably in the summer mercato.
