The number one target of Allegri was a trequartista to build his team around. Marotta gives him Hernanes. Yes, clearly a Marotta problem.
Both at fault. Marotta mainly for his ridiculous mercato .

But that shouldn't take away that Allegri has made numerous terrible tactical decisions this seaso.

Daaaamn, I totally forgot about Hernanes. Will he ever play again?

I tell you this (already said it before). I think most of what Marotta did was in panic. If this season ends in disaster, he should be fired - also Allegri. But this team is still more than good enough to end in top three and, imo, good enough to win Serie A.

Absolutely.

That's exactly what I said. It started with the panic buys of Marotta and not meeting Allegri's demands and now it's Allegri experimenting with a good squad for way, way too long.

Marotta fucked it up spending 40M on 2 CFs, when we already have Morata, who is a CF.

Now Allegri continues to fuck up trying to play all those guys, thus sacrificing Morata's game by displacing him, making us weaker in the SS position and in the CF position at the same time.

This should be relatively simple. Dybala-Morata-Cuadrado. Mandzukic as Morata's backup, Pereyra as Cuadrado backup (playing as an AM and moving the team to 4312) or Dybala's backup (playing as a LW).

It's basically this, no mystery about it. Dybala-Cuadrado-Morata, Mandzukic and Pereyra as subs. Let Zaza rot till january when we'll ship him away.

To the midfield we have plenty of replacement.

Marotta got it wrong, and Allegri wants to play all these CFs because of their price tag.

Big mistake.

Unless he's able to fix it right now, I have big doubts if we'll get 3rd place in the league. Allegri has been absolutely idiotic.

None of the front teams are showing any real stability, Napoli probably look the most stable but they have dropped points as well. We have every chance to challenge.

Have to agree. I had faith in Beppe cause I thought the management deserved some after last season but there really is no clear strategy in our purchasing this summer. He just bought random available players who had quality in some areas and left it to euromaxx to assemble a functional team. We didn't buy a Treq and we didn't buy wingers...wtf formation are we building?

Anyone who is wanting Allegri to be sacked is a disgrace! The man was one game away from becoming a Juventus legend last season. Of course he messed up tonight and has done a few times this season but calling for his head is way over the top and ungrateful. We fair much better in the Champions League under Max then we did under Conte where we truly did for the most part look woeful and out of ideas, never creating half as many chances as we did tonight.

Genuinely this season Juventus have been unlucky, so many teams have scored with their first attempt at goal against us and I don't think we've had a rub of the green with the referees in some matches. This team is still the best in Serie A and can easily win the league, we just need to gather the momentum and the confidence and we are still sitting well in the Champions League if we win in Germany this result is forgotten about.

Also 3-5-2 is NOT our enemy, the way Allegri has us playing now with it transitioning into a 4-3-3 is getting the best out of our current players and is definitely not the problem. What would in fact be bad is if Allegri chopped and changed again when the players do actually look quite settled and it's given us our best performances so far this season.

I put Zaza in first because of his physicality. Mandzukic was spent. I feel for Dybala, people put unjust pressure on him. He is 22 and he has great technical value. Lets not forget though that he only has serie a experience with Palermo. We cant put all the weight of the attack on him straight away. He needs to grow and work. Look at Morata until January last year. I think if we passed the ball better we couldve scored.

City winning? Its better, we keep some distance from Sevilla. We need to pass the stage and earn many points.

Yes, let's not be ungrateful towards Allegri. Though, it's okay to be ungrateful towards Conte who actually build that winning team in three magnificent years and brought the old Juve back.

Salvo, do you not see how oblivious the first bit of this statement makes Allegri seem? He put in Zaza for physicality. Did he not watch the first 70 minutes of the match where we had physicality and hard work on the pitch but no creativity? He put in like for like in a match where it clearly wasn't working. The match was crying out for skill, creativity and passing. Dybala.

And even worse, he goes on to say "if we passed the ball better we could've scored." What was he thinking playing Morata-Mandzukic up front and then subbing Zaza on. Morata is the only one of those three who can pass the ball at all and even he isn't anything special in that regard.

Allegri says we needed to pass the ball better but doesn't play our best passer, and chooses physicality as his first two subs. His words contradict each other. It's infuriating.
