And then make baffling subs on top of it. Where was Dybala while Zaza was shooting out of the stadium and messing up passes in the final third? Or Alex Sandro with Evra doing so much wrong? I understand that we're more limited from a tactical standpoint without a RB, but we should be doing a lot better.

How much longer can we realistically wait? The other sides are looking pretty decent this year. Maybe it was just me, but I felt Pogba definitely grew into the game as time passed. Hopefully it's something to build off of for him.

Moronic player selection today. I get that he maybe wanted Zaza to run Inter into the ground. Fine, but take him off at half time and bring on Dybala. If Dybala or even Morata had all that good ball that Zaza received in good positions today we probably would win by several goals.

Also, it was obvious that Evra was having a poor game tonight. I fully appreciate he had been in great form recently, but when you have a 30m euro substitute as good as Sandro on the bench you use him.

It's become obvious to me, that Allegri was riding of Conte's team. He's improved it last year, and gave it a bit more edge, but now that he has to do something of his own and he most certainly does have the necessary tools to make shit work, he is simply shitting the bed and seems simply clueless. Sure loosing Vidal and Tevez is horrible, but now you've got 4 great offensive players that offer a multitude of skill set in Mandzo, Morata, Dybala and Cuadrado, he's got Khedira, Kwadwo and Lemima to cover up the huge gap that Vidal left, and he's even got that LB we've been all dying for.

The coach has no excuses, can't blame nobody but him. Sure Marotta sold 2 of our best players, but it's not as if he left him hanging with no replacements at all. Allegri has some work to do, or he should gtfo here.

He did and the gap has shortened. I'm not worried about time. They just came back from long lay offs.

Was the midfield the problem in the first half? They gave Zaza several good chances to make something happen where he just uselessly fired over the bar or gave away the ball with appalling touch. I think the problem in the first half was leaving to much space between the mids and defense, and it allowed Inter to comfortably hold the ball whenever they gained possession.

Again though, we lacked end-product. Zaza and Cuadrado were wasteful to the extreme, and the formation basically marginalized Morata, because Zaza is not the type of forward that works with another forward playing centrally beside him.

I think Marchisios struggles were fairly apparent in the first half, as were Pogbas. Khedira was pretty much the fulcrum of the team linking defence to attack in those 45 minutes.

As for the chances, I agree that we had chances, but none of those were clear cut enough or suggestive that they were ever going to end up in the back of the net, had they fallen to Morata or Dybala. My reading was that Dynala starting the game would've struggled just as much because of the log balls we were playing to our CF, without any build up in the middle. He would've fallen to deep to come pick the ball up to have a telling impact on the game, in the same manner that Zaza helped us win his running.

Cuadrado didn't look his usual self to me today either. He looked a bit tired at the start.

I suppose what I'm saying is that I see Dybala as providing a much better link between midfield and attack than Zaza. His build-up play is far better, and he's much more of a Tevez style player in that regard. Part of our midfield-attack problem in the first half was we had no SS to drop a little deeper and provide that link.

It's even more so confusing, because Morata and Dybala formed an absolutely brilliant partnership in the previous game against Bologna... Dybala scored the penalty, had 4 successful dribbles, 2 key passes, won 2 free kicks, and took 3 shots. Morata took 7 shots, scored, assisted, won a penalty...

So why isn't Allegri giving that partnership a run of games to get established. The two players are basically perfect to play off one another.

resting Dybala? It is only October and we're already worried that Dybala is being burnt out? and to rest him in a must win match for a CL match which probably would have little impact if points were dropped.
