We are playing an assymetrical 3-5-2 with alot of freedom to Cuadrado drift inwards at times and Khedira/Barza to cover him in shifts. But I read some saying we were playing 4-3-3 which I dont get. Besides occasionally noticeably Evra going down and make it 4 man defence (which was the case when Bologna scored, clear 4 lined up), majority of the time was defenitely 3-5-2 shape. So what I dont get is how someone else can watch the same game and think its 4-3-3 mainly? How we kept the ball and distributed it was classic 3-5-2 pretty much allways, with Cuadrado as wildcard to do as he pleases to break pattern on occasion, but allways starting off as RWB.
Thing is Osman, is easy to say "433", then it is to explain how an assymetrical 3-5-2 looks like and works, let alone in detail.

Genuis of Allegri how he did found another new definition of it, that allows most key players to play close to their best position and role

I wouldn't say that it was a classical 4-3-3, but imo it was as much an asymetrical 3-5-2 as it was an asymetrical 4-3-3. Most of the time we had a 4 man backline, and Barzagli wad often pushing up the right glank the manner an rb would do (though not as often as Evra). Cuadrado however was occupying an RM position more often ghan an RW one when starting the attack, and Morata.often looked like a CF more than an LW, so I agree there.

He still has a lot of work to do.

Now that he has found a formation to stick with and that he will recover most of the injured players, his biggest challenge will be to straighten up the heads of some players, especially Pogba.

He is smart in possession and lately we have been having too many brainfarts in the final end of the attack so I can see maybe his intelligence is needed that high up when you combine that with the lack of Cuadrado's intelligence :D

It was sort of a hybrid, but leaning towards 4-3-3 or even 4-4-2.

___________Buffon
Barzagli Bonucci Chiellini
____________________Evra
___Khedira Hernanes Pogba
Cuadrado
______Dybala Morata

Is pretty accurate.

Pretty much. The bulk of our attack goes a lot from cuad`s side.... tot he point that sometimes evra is all alone while both teams are all grouped to the right side of our field.
