Tell me now, why fire him and keep Marotta?
Because the squad isn't necessarily the problem. We have good players being benched or played out of position. This team thus far isn't showing any semblance of cohesion or knowing of a game plan. To me, that's purely managerial inadequacies. Allegri had experienced super stars that could lead the squad and bail out the team with their individual quality last season. He didn't need to bring out the best in these players because they already knew how to bring it out of themselves.

Had we fielded Morata and Cuadrado instead of Zaza and Hernanes that would have been a good team on paper, more than capable of beating Napoli. But first, he didn't field them and second, he hasn't been able to instill a game plan that this team can unite around. It's true what was being said about him, he really did just inherit a ready made contender last season and he himself admitted he had little to do. But now he has something to do and he can't do it.

Change him ONLY if we have a world class coach ready to replace him. No temps, No experiments, No trying it out with ex-players without experience, no trying it out with a Serie A coach from a smaller team that looks promising. Ancellotti or Klopp then yeah change him if we dont start playing like last season in the next 2 games. If this level of quality managers is not available then stick with Allegri until the end and bring Conte back after the Euros.
Do you think Marotta can bring us a world class coach?

Montella would probably be our best option, would you go for him?

This guy is going to be 100% scapegoated for what's become of this team, so so wrong.

Marotta lost 2 players that will be remembered as part of the best from their generation, that is not so much his fault as there are factors involved that were beyond his control. However he's replaced them with pretty much nobodies, devoid of instilling character into this team.

Even more so laughable is the way he has let Bayern Munich do what they normally do to a team that gets good in the Bundesliga. We're not even in their league for FFS, that's how ridiculous it is.

your brillant coach lost with Atletico too
He has been amazing for past 4 years, losing a game or two or struggling at times is not the contention (especially when they go through massive player changes every summer), but the massive improvement he has done for them in sheer tactical organisation and imposing ideas has been remarklable. He made the Atletico that used to be called pathetico because they were such a bi-polarish joke and laughing stock defensively, into an underdog top team that has best defensive grit and big clubs hate to face for past years.
