Don't be ridiculous. Allegri had his 2 best players sold for peanuts in Vidal and Tevez. Sure thing we should be doing better, but let's wait a few weeks before making such judgments.

Aside from this, Conte had multiple world class and top players brought in for him that first season. Players like Pirlo, Vidal, Lichtsteiner, Vucinic, etc. He certainly wasn't handed a 7th place squad.
Sorry but none of those players were classified as world class players and to some extent not even top players.

Pirlo - Hardly anyone wanted because people thought he was washed up

Vidal - relative unknown outside of Germany, out of this entire forum at the time only Dule and myself were calling his name whilst most were fapping over inler still

Lichtsteiner - ok top player for Serie A at least but by no means world class

Vucinic - no way. Decent at most, technically gifted but we all know how frustrating he can be to watch

or the Conte that motivated his team to domestic dominance? at the rate we are going we'll probably crash out of the group stages of the CL this season then what excuses does allegri have then? He has on paper at least a better team now than what Conte had in Europe. Still marotta has to shoulder some of the blame for this farse this season
As has been said. Drop it. Pointless discussion and full of hypotheticals that no one could predict.

Both coaches have their strengths and weaknesses. No one knows how Conte would do with this current Juventus missing the two best players of the COnte era, Vidal and Pirlo, and the best player of the last two seasons in Tevez. And no one knows how Allegri would have done with Conte's teams.

They're both obviously very good coaches, considering they have 5 Serie a Titles, a Coppa Italia, 4 supercoppas, and a CL final between them.

Allegri -

You really need to find a way to get this team to click. Also, get Lemina in the lineup starting him can't be worse than what we saw from Sturaro today.

And take your right foot and stick it up Pogba's ass. Take your left foot and do the same to Morata's. Those two are atrocious.

Oh ffs, it was clear that the team would struggle at the beginning of the season, add a bit of bad luck to that and it's an admittedly pretty desastrous start.

But this discussion has not only been repeated twenty times over already but also has some of the lowest posts of this forum regularly.

Period.
We need a bit of time, hopefully in that time we don't drop many more points. We can still win the title, we just need to start winning soon and find that swagger again.

Are you blind? Honestly. I said world class and top players. There's a difference. Lichtsteiner and Vucinic are top players. Not world class, but top players certainly during their first couple years here.

Aside from this, it has no relevance what they were classified as at the time. They were clearly excellent players on the pitch. How much of that has to do with Conte, you have no idea, neither do I.

Put it this way, would Conte do any worse with this team than the team he originally inherited? I doubt it this team lacks identity and character and there are few managers other than Conte who would be able to instil that back into the team

The Conte that couldn't motivate his team to score at home against 9 man Benfica in a EL semifinal? The Conte that managed to have his team draw Copenhagen and Nords... The Conte that had a team lose and draw to Gala? That Conte?
The same Conte whose team thrashed Celtic home and away. The conte whose team thrashed Chelsea. The Conte whose team won at Shakhtar away.

Its not difficult to be that selective

He missed the point where you said he wasn't handed a 7th place squad too.

I said "World class and to come extent not even top players" !!!!!!!! so no i'm not blind

I still stand by what I said about Vucinic, technically gifted yes, but top player? I wouldn't say so, he is far too inconsistent to be what i consider a top player any ways

Yeah, it's basically what I said prior to the season. Only thing I underestimated was the amount of points we'd drop, though there was a fair share of bad luck involved as well. I mean, we could've easily drawn Udinese & Roma, and won today as well. But no use in lamenting that.

Vucinic is by no means a top player. If he was top then so was Matri and Quagliarella. The licht was definitely of a different cast and still is. Licht is/was world class.
