This team could really do with Conte right now, I just don't see allegri gelling this team into champions right now
The Conte that couldn't motivate his team to score at home against 9 man Benfica in a EL semifinal? The Conte that managed to have his team draw Copenhagen and Nords... The Conte that had a team lose and draw to Gala? That Conte?

or the Conte that motivated his team to domestic dominance? at the rate we are going we'll probably crash out of the group stages of the CL this season then what excuses does allegri have then? He has on paper at least a better team now than what Conte had in Europe. Still marotta has to shoulder some of the blame for this farse this season

Allegri said a couple of weeks ago about Italian coaches using too much tactics and players needing freedom. It is really showing on this team just now, the players are all over the place.

Maybe the freedom worked when the core squad was coming off Conte's OTT tactics but right now we look like a team without a plan.

Team selection every match has been wrong too, huge game for us today and we rest Pogba, Lichsteiner and Chiellini

Thats why when you Conte was asked to to coach a team of has beens, never beens and freebies, (with 7 new players in the starting 11) he can go on an undefeated run till the end of the season and beat a very well established Milan coached by Allegri.

Allegri on the other so far has received top player transfers on top of a squad full of world class players and he got a point from 3 games.
Don't be ridiculous. Allegri had his 2 best players sold for peanuts in Vidal and Tevez. Sure thing we should be doing better, but let's wait a few weeks before making such judgments.

Aside from this, Conte had multiple world class and top players brought in for him that first season. Players like Pirlo, Vidal, Lichtsteiner, Vucinic, etc. He certainly wasn't handed a 7th place squad.

Oh ffs, I'd have thought this mess of a "discussion" was over by now...
I don't know which is more boring, that this thread will be busy when we're not doing well, or that it'll constantly be a Conte vs Allegri comparison.

I should probably dig up a few "Fuck Serie A, CL is where it's at" posts from the crybabies during Conte's time.

Wait, there are people in here who are seriously calling for Conte's return after 3 games? I mean, I know how it is around here but really...
