Why are substitutes so neccecary when you are winning the game and firm in controll of it ?

I'd like to hear a good response to this, so i can have a big laugh, and then tell you why you are blatantly wrong.
Because we failed to score until min 60. In first half we only had a shot on goal, so please, don't tell me that's safe vs Malmo?

I have no problem with us making late subs last game

But obviously if we keep doing it, teams like Bayern will decimate us if we have the same 12/13 players always playing.

I don't fancy seeing two exhausted wing backs playing against Ronaldo/Bale/Reus/Robben/Ribery etc

We scored at 60th minute. Good enough. Never go overboard to soon.

We had alot of players unable to start. No need to run the risk. Not with our central defenders

Regardless, what if he is injured immediatly, or buffon takes a red, of morata completely fails at keeping the ball etc.

Prior games, only sub when neccecary (before 85min )
I understand your concern and agree to some extent. But on the same token we could come up with a zillion what ifs as an excuse for not doing it.

Remember, the only thing we were asking was just a striker for a striker switch, nothing that would compromise our team.

You? You laughing at others?

Conte's main problem was milking his players and not pulling early subs until 80th + minutes. Top coaches (Lippi, Mourinho, Ferguson, Ancelotti etc) pull 65 to 75min subs usually when players are tired and for some other tactical reasons.

So please tell me how you are going to laugh.

First of all, i'm going to laugh by how bad your post just is

then i'll point out you said "when players are tired and for some other tactical reasons".
My point was if you are winning the game, and controll it, the tactic is going perfectly well and shouldnt be altered.
Lastly, i'll point out I said "no substitutes unless neccecary". Wich implies players getting injured, or to tired to continue (like lichtsteiner sometimes).

So i thank you for showing me i was right, with good examples.

Statements like that are great.

All coaches usually make subs earlier than Allegri did last night, including Allegri.

But that doesn't mean it is always necessary/desirable to make subs earlier than Allegri did last night.

You have to look at each game individually to see what is required.

I had no issue with how Allegri handled the substitutions last night.
