No, I think he can play as a wing with Cuadrado.

hell i don't know and don't care as long as we win. He should be able to play IMO on either side. But, I would have done things differently today which is why I'm not a coach for Juventus. :D
I actually like a 4-4-2 or 4-1-3-2... It allows the freedom to play 2 of forwards in a more central role. And it ended up we looked a bit like that today. I'd say our formation looked more like this today:

-----------------Buffon-------------
Licht------Bonucci---Chiellini-----Evra
------Sturaro----Hernanes---Pogba
Cuadrado-------------Morata
-------------Mandzukic

Kind of a 4-3-2-1 with Cuadrado playing as a RM--->RWF, and Morata playing as a more central LWF, as we saw by his goal where he was all the way over on the right side of the field, even though Dybala was playing centrally at that point. It almost looked 4-4-2 when we attacked with Morata and Cuadrado taking turns being the SS to Mandzu, while the other held back a little.

Regardless. I love it.

this formation really is great. i dont know if its what Allegri prefers for most games, but we should atleast use it in CL. Dybala as false nine was also good

These nights prove that we're a big team, and we should treat ourselves like one. Keep the best players and build for the futur, Allegri will do fantastic, think we will win the CL eventually

:agree:

It's not ideal for Morata with Mandzu on the pitch, but as we saw in the brief spell with Cuadrado-Dybala-Morata as our front 3, it gave a lot of freedom for Morata to move centrally to the point he scored. I like the idea of that, a false 9 in Dybala who likes to drop deep, a wide 9 in Morata (because let's face it, even when he plays as a CF he drifts wide, especially to the left, very frequently), and an actual RWF in Cuadrado who will give us some width, dribbling, and crossing from the right side, while also being able to move centrally and shoot if the space opens up.

Now if only we can get our midfield healthy and organized behind that, we'll look amazing.

Of course they will disappear, one member in particular, who is always very active when things goes wrong and nowhere to be seen after the goals!
There are quite a few such members here. You would already see 20 posts from each in Marotta, Allegri and match threads if we lost. Mostly quoting each other about how right they are :D.

Paying top money for strikers to play them as wingers is just stupid though. Morata, Mandzukic, Zaza and Dybala all play the same position i'm sorry but if we want people to play wide then we should sign wingers not strikers.

Looks like Marotta just brought in good players regardless of how they would fit into the system. We could have definitely spent the money better this season and it's no surprise Allegri is struggling to get results at the start of the season.

How Allegri got a win here tonight I really have no idea but i'm still worried about how the team will be set up.
