IMO Allegri couldn't have done what Conte did, in taking a 7th placed team to unbeaten champions.

I also think Conte couldn't have done what Allegri has done, in having us two games from a treble.

It's not that one is "better", they're just different.

Conte's manic energy and sheer force of will was what we needed to get back to the top. I don't think Allegri could have pushed that team to the Scudetto, and without losing too. Remember, we still had frickin' Borriello, while Milan had Zlatan!

Once we were back at the top, we needed Allegri's calmer, more considered approach to make that final step. Conte couldn't take losing any game, and doggedly stuck to his ideas. It's in some ways his biggest strength and his biggest weakness.

I think we needed a Coach who was willing to lose the odd game in Serie A, change system and play with less intensity sometimes to compete on three fronts at once.

I disagree, he took an average AC Milan team to third in 2013, and that was after they sold Ibra and Thiago, and have of their "experienced players" leave. He also made players like SES and Balotelli look like superstars. Both of which haven't played half as well since Allegri left

When I was looking back at my posts from when I first got here, I fid let you know that I am in Cancun. The problem is that I used your real name when I mentioned you
Never use the government down here. :D

I could have taken some vacay now that it is the election season is in full tilt (not much to do in the office), but all is good. My boy just got a job planning EDM parties down there. So in the future, if you and the misses are looking for a good time in Cancun, let this guy know.

It was not directed at you but posts generally.

I think it's quite sad how first half of the thread is covered with 'our ex coach is better' while other half is sliced into 2 of 'they are similar' 'Allegri is better'. But it's just posts like that with no arguments whatsoever. Even if they are, majority of people is literally blind and forget what Conte actually achieved here and it's pretty shameful how all of that is forgotten. And I'm not even bitter, nor I'm here to defend our ex coach, I'm just saying that majority of thread (especially in the last couple of months) is filled with crap that's not related to this thread but pure mockery of our past. Not only that, but it's quite sad how Allegri's thread is not filled with formation/tactical input, counter game or ANYTHING related to his work here. Sure, there were posts that were good enough, but I'm just starting to wonder if people will ever let it go and keep discussing present and relevant stuff rather than bringing back old stuff and not even for the sake of argument but pity laughs or whatever it is.

Yes. Funny you should mention that. I'm in the process of spending my monthly bonus on a Cartier bracelet for her.
