@Zacheryah I'm sorry but i'm going to have to disagree with your pre season statement that allegri will sort our defence out, we have looked progressively worse in recent weeks, when we're defending we look more like the ones that will concede the next goal as for our set piece defending it's just crap and inexcusable.
Allegri sorts the defence out during play, i havent said he would sort out set pieces.

Its a working point for a while, it was a problem under conte thats just getting worse. Seems like we cannot concede from open play, and compensate by conceding from every even corner

Our problem with set pieces seems so strange though. It's not like we don't have players who are strong in the air, and I can't imagine that the knowledge how to defend set pieces is something obscure or unknown to every coach but a few.

The same can be said about how we turn off at various moments during a match. When I see the team play with intensity and grinta to bring a result, I get totally confused as to why they can't keep that up and instead start doing mistakes and inviting the opponents to our goal.

Morata was a late substitute and Allegri was scathing about the young Spaniard.

“Alvaro scored against Cesena, but I didn’t like his overall performance, so I kept him out of the starting XI.”
:(

The problem existed with Conte and it continues with Allegri. Maybe the reason is that our CB are shid a defending set pieces and nothing can be done-

We sucked at defending set pieces under Conte as well.
But after over half a season we still have the best defense in Italy and one of the best in Europe but Allegri hasn't fixed the defense.

Badass, really? You gotta come up with something better than that.

We are going through a rough patch. Up until two weeks ago we only conceded 8 goals. What a fucking fool

Up until a few weeks ago we had under 10 goals conceded. Badass :sergio:

this season , juve was not conceded goals via corner or set piece when the formation was 3-5-2.

after that, maybe about 4-5 goals from corner or set piece.

Our defensive record in general isn't bad at all, corners and to some extent indirectly delivered freekicks are what's worrying

It'll be interesting to see how our defence fare against Dortmund and hopefully more CL teams this spring. Our record in Serie A is deluding in my opinion.

I'm not confident they can stand against the best in Europe. But I'll be gladly surprised, if they do :)
