The fact the ref was the biggest cunt ever aside
He needs to change this or leave.
I love him, will always defend him for the previous stint, for this stint that there were major problems he couldn't control, but it's the second season now with many new players that same problems repeat.
Not the game, not the style, but the mental approach to games and mental falling apart under every bit of pressure and adversity
And ofc the constant tinkering and inventing positions to players. The most average wing is better than the best midfielder ever playing on the wing. Let alone fucking McK.
His main strength before was intelligence, flexibility, moments of madness that changed the game. None of that happens now, changes he makes sometimes are just baffling and each sub is just a way to complicate the formation and everyone's role further. There is noting set, nothing to go back to when things are not going well. Everything is chaos and I constantly find myself feeling he made it worse and more complicated instead of simple and easy.
Far from it we're going to start playing amazing if he's fired, but you cannot always rely only on everything going well, everyone being healthy etc. Guess what? Chiesa and Pogba will come back, someone else will get injured or suspended. A major part of his job is 'doing the least damage possible' as he says, but with most things he makes it worse. I get the defending deep, I get ugly play and long balls and lack of chances, I can live with that somewhat. I cannot live with ONE ENTIRE SIDE OF THE PITCH being a fucking freeway for 86 minutes. Plenty of coaches who play ugly, defend etc. Nobody in the world plays (shit) midfielders as wingers, strikers as wingers etc.
Don't have any confidence things will change. We can go on a run again like last year, I don't have confidence in him or the team anymore to do their job, win games like this. This is a game even an average, but hungry, team wins in 30 minutes of the first half. Now we're truly back in the days of Del Neri but with fancier names, jerseys and stadium
