You're not wrong, but for many of us it's not just a game. I may have been initially attracted to Juve because of certain players and the cool black/white stripes (white/black/yellow is such a sweet colour combo), but the reason I'm so invested in them today is because I identify with the core values in the Juve DNA (can't believe I used that cringey phrase but here we are).
Seeing a Juventus team which embodies the grinta, the non lottare mai and the determined focus on getting the job done primarily through outworking opponents really inspires me in my day-to-day life. These are principles that I value, and seeing Juve demonstrate them on the pitch helps me to invoke them in myself. Seeing a limp and directionless Juve team is disappointing on many levels, but anything which gives the sense that Allegri isn't taking his job seriously is actually offensive to me, because that is the opposite of what I expect from Juventus FC. I'm all in on these Juventino values, and that's what I want from the team.
Maybe that's just me. I think we see and understand football differently, though. You see it through a statistical lens and perhaps as a bit of fun to tune into on the TV and discuss on this forum- and that's perfectly fine! But for me it's an important part of my self-identity.
