Yes that seems to be the thinking behind it. Galliani loved him because he was totally subservient. He sold iBra and Silva and didn't bat an eye.....G kept filling up our squad with fodder sunday pub league level players and max just kept quiet and did his job.

What the hell is your problem? I am trying to put myself in the boards shoes in why they are trying to stabilize the situation as quickly as possible. As a player just starting preseason and absolutely no plan at all, don't you see an issue with that when your Coach just dips? I'm not trolling. The club wants to build a team for the CL and looking to invest but not the guy that runs the team is no longer here and there is absolutely no plan in place other than a few select handful of available coaches.
