Well not all touches are created equal either. Like if you told me Sarri's team didn't generate a lot of PKs with so many touches, I could believe that lol.

I'm guessing the impetus to beat an opponent instead of pass would contribute to PKs. Not having Dybala get a ton of touches in the box, probably hurts PK generation for example.
Could easily be one factor. Looking at the players who tend to win the most pens in the prem supports that view imo.

clear and undeniable regression, underachieving squad? look at their ppg for that season, compare it to the previous few seasons
so? I have full trust in coach, he didn't lost title to no name opponent.
Would it be that out of the realm of possibility seeing as one of our chief rivals manufactured a fake scandal only 15 years ago that saw our club stripped of two titles, relegated to B, and almost financially destroyed. Were you one of the Ians, laughing about the notion it might be a conspiracy?

Given the super league fiasco, uefa’s continued attempts to levy punitive measures against the club against EU anti-trust laws, and the comments FIGC and the League made about this club at the time, would it really be that shocking if refs were told Not give Juve the benefit of the doubt on debatable decisions? Which already happens to some extent because of the Italy wide outcry every time a 50/50 decision goes in our favour?

This might be the single dumbest thing I’ve read on Tuz.
Because you brain can't understand simple things - hanballs by opposite side, fouls after through ball pass when the defender block/tackle attacking player, fouls/handballs during crosses WONT GIVE YOU NUMBER OF TOUCHES INSIDE THE BOX

Its hardly an analysis, I agree, dont have the time to write a thesis on the subject.

As for antijuve movement - I dont see it. Most you could convince me of was a certain bias that stems from being "hated" by most of the opposing Italian teams and their fans, but I dont see the basis to suggest refs are systematically sabotaging Juventus. If they are, theyre doing a poor job.
It's not just fair climate or conspiracy to sabotage. There are many nuances, and though it might not be systematic, theres enough documented overwhelming animosity to affect ref performance. You make calls against big bad juve you a hero, you make the slightest mistake in favor of juve you get death threats.

huh?

also, trust a coach under whom the squad regressed statistically?
He just called 2016-17 Chelsea one of the greatest sides in EPL history

The same team that finished 5th a season later and couldn’t get past CL Rof16. While they had a good domestic season in a weak League thah had been won by Leicester a year earlier, imagine thinking they were one of the leagues greatest ever teams.

We are talking about season when he lost to Klopp, you are the king of stupidness.

much worse ppg, 2nd position >>>> goal difference, are you kidding me?
Sure, in that season things went wrong here and there for Pep but he still delivered 2nd place with 2nd record of amount of goals, then changed some things here and there and has won the treble next season

As I said, that I can agree on, certainly there are bias'es in play and after dominating for so long they dont work in our favor.

The year Klopp went out of CL Rof16 to Atletico 4-2 on aggregate? :lol3:

And are you calling Pep winning the league and a couple domestic cup trophies “the treble”

So? the UCL is a completely different tournament and if anything in his 7 years in Liverpool Klopp was in 2 finals of the UCL and won one, how can you deny his achievement, what an embarrassment. And im pretty sure that they will trash Villarreal and that he will go in his 3rd UCL final in 7 years, its unbelievable what he was able to do for Liverpool

Pens are not equally distributed across the season, I dont think theres much to explain. Why would they be?
see the arguments of other dudes: the more you attack, the more pens you get. did we attack more during the 1st part of the season, or less during the 2nd part?

also, penalties awarded to some random clubs in the first 17 and last 17 rounds, feel free to check others:
napoli: 7 & 5
milan: 4 & 4
lazio: 4 & 4
hellas: 5 & 3

:boh:

Yes, beat Spurs in the final. Good thing for him it was a down year for the big European clubs. Would have lost a 4th straight European final if he had come up against a decent side. :seven:
