Don’t understand when he became allergic to substitutions, it used to be his forte…

felt like he was saving the subs for extra time, such a poor way to play. Second half we showed no urgency against a team that parked the bus. We lack so much quality but let’s not pretend Villarreal have any, Allegri has just been tactically outclassed by another pragmatic manager: Emery…

Hope there's no meltdown and we hold on for the CL qualification, cause a lot for squad buildup in pending. But ofcourse have doubts about his player selections- put his trust on the too many wrong players this season.

Allegri tended to wait until we are a goal behind before trying. This is actually classic allegri.
That's the most frustrating part. I think he was waiting for Emery to make subs before we could make one. Ridiculously cautious against a team that aren't even that good in the first place.
They were parking the bus since the beginning of the 2nd half anyway. Maybe the outcome could've been different had we introduced subs much earlier on.

my question is can we call it luck if we suck every year? this is 3rd year in row we exit in 16 round, and 5th year in a row we exit in quarter final stage or earlier. only in 1 out of last 5 CL seasons did we make it to quarter final and that was thanks to Ronaldo basically going god mode.

at what point do we admit we need a shift in mentality from italian coaches?
I don't know whose mentality is worst the players or the coach.

Where are his shills now? @juve123 @s4tch
kindly go fuck yourself, you braindead imbecile. enjoy the loss like you always do.

that being said, this was a good first half and a terrible meltdown after rugani's mistake. mental preparation is obviously part of the coach's job, so the defeat is on allegri too.

my mantra has been the same for 2 years: fix the squad.

100 percent. it was same vs atletico. completely destroyed in first leg, and needed to make drastic changes and a ronaldo master class to beat them

same year before vs real madrid. destroyed in first leg and had to adjust tactics to make a comback (only to fail of course, just like vs bayern in 2016)

such a reactionary coach can never make it as cup competitions where you need to take intiative.

To the people asking for subs did you see our bench. This team is mentally weak, will collapse at the slightest hint of adversity, whether that's on allegri or not I don't know, but as far as i am concerned he did everything he could to set us up to win we just choked like we usually do. Sorry but not putting this on max.
What an idiot
