Yeah, no one mentions Roma undeserved loss to liverpool that year. But they were one hell of a team led by Dzeko, even tho they just lost Salah previous summer. Serie A few years back was stronger than now
Yep. And even the year we made the CL final in 2015, both Napoli and Fiorentina made the semi finals of the EL.

I don’t know how people can look at the current state of the top 4-5 Italian teams and say the league is stronger now than it was when we were a dominant force in Europe. It’s just clearly wrong. Don’t let the “competitiveness” of this season fool you. The league is weak again.

A Milan team with geriatric strikers are leading the league table. Should tell you a lot about how 'strong' the league is.

If Milan win scudetto, that will be two league winners in a row who finished last place in their CL group. Inter with 1 win and 6 pts in a group with Gladbach and Shaktar last year (Conte  ), and Milan with 1 win and 4 pts in their group this year. Embarrassing. This league has gone to shit since we stopped carrying it.

Arthur has never played as an attacking mid anywhere because he never passes the ball forward. He’s a game manager, pace and flow, but without the long ball ability and progressive passing of a Pirlo or Marchisio. He keeps the ball well and makes neat tidy short passes sideways and back mostly. Not sure what you see in him that screams attacking mid. Pjanic actually played that position at Roma. Isco actually played as an AM for much of his career. Arthur never has.

I’m sure he would for the ~20 matches he is healthy for a season. Dudes missed 67 matches to injury the past 3 seasons. He’s also lazy and inconsistent. SMS instead please. ;)

But sure, even I admit he’d be a vast improvement on anyone but Locatelli in our midfield. Lol
Not in the traditional vein of attacking mids. He's not Kaka. He's been likened characteristically to Xavi and I'd say that makes most sense. Short, quick passer of the ball that didn't usually split a defense in one fell swoop, he constructed combinations of passes for the purpose of progressing the ball goalwards. Arthur can't do that have that playing between two CBs. Besides, he can keep the ball exactly where you want it to be kept - the attacking third.

A regista needs some kind of range to his passing. If he needs to walk 20 yards before passing another 30 to spread the ball, that's slow ball movement. I always laughed at people who thought they understood tactics better than professional coaches but this just seems like common sense.

Rabiot I’d like to see him drop, but it’s not like Arturd or Mckennie are much better options. One can’t play more than 45 minutes without looking dead on his feet and the other runs around like a madman but can’t pass to save his life.
I don't think players are born with engines. It's uninterrupted conditioning. Injuries contribute but the laziness can come into it as well.

They won't win the league though, too many chokers on that team, starting with the head coach.
The fact that a team like Milan are leading the table with 13 games to go shows how much the quality of the league has dropped.

Just on a pure squad quality level, they are nowhere near the likes of Napoli or Roma from previous years who were our main title rivals.

Even this Inter team is bad, just that they're the best of a bad bunch.

Bad luck everywhere.

Serie A so unlucky.

both milanese teams have interesting players though. milan have a fantastic keeper, theo is one of the best in the game, their midfield isn't bad by any means. inda are even stronger with easily the best midfield and defense of the league, and that dzeko-lautaro partnership is scudetto material too. their wingbacks mostly suck though.

too bad we managed to degrade the level of our squad below their level. we have a strong backbone with de ligt, bonucci (injured too much tho), vlahovic, locatelli (and chiesa), cuadrado, dybala are fine too, otherwise it's like 15 squad players that wouldn't start for the milan teams.

Give Max a few good players in midfield and defense, plus Alzheimer's medication and we're winning the scudetto next year.

Allegri is not getting sacked even if we miss out on the 4th spot. He's been brought here to re-build Juventus and re-install the good old fino-alla-fine fighting spirit. I know, sometimes it's not pretty to see but it is what it is.

This is only the beginning. The management gave him a lengthy and expensive contract so it's pointless discussing alternatives cause we all know it's not gonna happen unless he relegates Juventus.

The management trusts him and it's work in progress so we have to be patient. Getting Vlahovic and Zakaria is only the start of the re-build so the management already showed an initiative.

I believe he needed the first year in order to fully asses the squad and decide which players are not worthy of the jersey.
He already consolidated the defense and we haven't lost in dozen games. Let's see if he finds a solution that would increase the number of goals scored.

He is right tho, Vlahovic needs to be protected from too much pressure, the expectations have been insane.
ffs turk expected us to win all games because of him  i admired his optimism, but it's not like suddenly we have a strong midfield, quick wingers to support a cf and some reliable fullbacks on both flanks. it's the same shitty team with a better cf, with one single available winger (and i don't mean rabiot lol).

Giving a full year grace period to a 9M coach is something we did not do with the two previous coaches. Just saying this in the interest of being fair when people get mad at Allegri criticisms.
