He should be happy with his debut and be patient for next year. It’s the last 2-0 lead we’ll have all season.

Times have changed. It’s not my fault you can’t see it. But you’re too busy trying to come up with excuses for Allegri to see it.
You bitched like a little child all through our winning era too. Hardly going to take you seriously as a Juve fan. You’re just the less ridiculous version of Turk with regards to this club.

Do you think Allegri instructs them to move the ball slowly around the box? Our goal came from quick passing and movement, and it opened them up for Dybala to go through in the second half . I'm pretty sure the coach will prefer that.

Cuadrado and Pellegrini were both very high up the pitch in the first half, Pellegrini in particular.

I would say there is a lack of quality at times (Kean and Pellegrini in particular) which holds us back but what worries me most was how shaky we were in defending at times. But I thought we had a very different shape and approach tonight.

Anyway the main thing tonight was about getting a win and relieving some pressure, which thankfully we managed to do. Hopefully we can build from this, although I have thought that a lot over the past few seasons.
Isn't it his responsibility to fix it? There's no attacking movements around the box. Everybody just stands and passes the ball to the next guy until Cuadrado attempts to dribble his man.

I am quite sure he does. He always talks about moving the ball around and waiting for openings which is good against better teams, but just sends the wrong message against minnows like this.

It has something to do with Dybala and Cuadrado who like to dwell on the ball, but if he's not telling them to be slow he's certainly not discouraging it either

Happy for the win ofc, don't care how they come, especially the first one of a stretch like this, but it just bothers me because I see no difference in attack to the start of the season.

I don’t care about being taken seriously as a Juve fan. I’m not the one who always questions who is a Juve fan or not when someone criticizes the coach. That person is you. It happens after every match. Nobody was questioning whether you were a Juve fan the last couple years shitting on Pirlo and Sarri. You got the manager you want, he isn’t performing, time for you to put on your unisex undies and take it like a grown up.

I cheered for this club during both Pirlo and Sarri seasons. Celebrated wins, bemoaned losses. Even said I was happy with Sarri at midseason because we started the season great. Same with for Pirlo up to the Porto matches. Even said I’d be okay with Pirlo getting a second season at the end of the season with proper support during mercato.

You just cry about Allegri regardless of wins or losses and you did so when he was here before too. You literally whine after every result, good or bad. Like clockwork.

In his argument with Adani Allegri mentioned that he doesn't give specific instructions to the attackers he gives them the freedom to do what they want around the penalty area

I think ideally Allegri would like the team to be able to change intensity depending on the situation. He often talks about needing to move the ball faster in his pressers but when we're leading I think he's more than okay with us slowing the tempo down and players taking the easy passing option.

I think that is a misinterpretation of what he has said about being calmer with the ball. It was a huge issue under Pirlo and at times this season where we haven't kept the ball well enough in general and made rash passes (particularly in the wrong areas) and giving it away. Atalanta's goal at the weekend being a prime example.

I don't think any coach would ever want a team to be slow and predictable around the box. He often said in his first spell with us that we need to move the ball quicker when attacking.

I agree though our attack is frustrating and we just haven't got going yet. But numerous times players picked the wrong option (Pellegrini in particular in the first half), I think a lack of quality is a big problem as well as our overall play.

That is it exactly. It is knowing when to control tempo and when to pick it up.

When you see Post Moronic in jubilation over beating some Serie B farmers, its pretty clear that he knows Allegri has been atrocious this year and that the standards have dropped. It's not every game that he's this over the moon, because quite frankly Allegri hasn't lived up to his expectations. Occasional results like these are all he's got, other than the "conte didn't get out of the group stage in 2013" argument. Right now this dud is managing no better than Sarri or Pirlo.

Well then have your fullback overlap. When you have inverted wingers going at opposition defenders have your full back actually run behind the winger and get a pass for an easy assist or take away defenders for winger's shot. Last time I remember we did this was with Danilo in that friendly vs U23.

Instead we have a winger going one on one, fullbacks staying deeper behind them waiting for a cutback and then either a very deep cross or restart the ball to opposing side.

Yes but I am more worried about him being stubborn on playing rabiot as left winger and this 4-4-2 set up for most games
I’m actually more worried about lack of intensity and no movement around the box. If Max trusts players to make their own choices we won’t get anywhere. Without Chiesa this team is good for an 8th place finish.

Then give us something to be happy about. Anything, please. I'm dying here. Just a couple good performances and wins in a row, looking like a team instead of a bunch of clowns blasting the ball into each other, with shit that makes sense. Players in the proper position, taking initiative, making subs that make sense, not having to make silly comments all match to get through it. Anything, please, I beg of you!

We did exactly that at times, particularly in the first half. Pellegrini was often in line with Kean and further forward than Bernardeschi. The issue was he often chose the wrong option or did not execute what he tried to pull off.

For me the biggest problem attacking wise tonight was a lack of quality and confidence. Too often players were taking an extra touch they didn't need to. We should have played wider at times and been more direct with hitting the byline but it is not as though our FBs were sitting at the half way line for 90 mins.

As I said, the attack still is not there yet, as with the rest of the team. The biggest worry for me was our defensive shape and I really think a lack of quality in general.
