I guess we have different opinions. I still remember this epic Conte and his CL nightmares in the group stages.
Biggest disgrace was missing out on that europe league win in our own stadium.

Yes, it was only the europe league, but it would have been a nice way to signal people we coming back...and it was in our stadium ffs.

But gotta chase them league records man.

The sample size on both camps is pretty small. The only reasonably talented player that Allegri didn't play was Coman. If Hans Nicoloussi and players like him did not thrive under Allegri it's hardly his fault.

Don't forget Giaccherini, Pepe, Vucinic. Il top players. Plus, besides Milan year, Bonucci was at his worst that season. We even had to rely on De Ceglie for periods. Allegri at Milan clearly had the superior team and bottled it.

Conte is the better league coach. Allegri is the better cup coach. And you have to sort the league out first, that has to be the base. (No way I'm advocating hiring Conte, way past that.)

I don't buy the better league coach vs cup coach argument, there are way too many factors to consider. If anything a coach that is consistent enough to dominate a league undefeated, again not win only but win undefeated, has clearly figured out what works and there is far less luck involved in that..compared to a tournament or a cup can be won or lost with a BS referee call or injury to a single player or form of opponent etc.
People like to run their mouths about CL elimination at group stage forgetting vidal and vooch were our score leaders with 10 goals each (?) Not CR7 and Dybala, a midfielder and a above average striker. So no I'm not comparing the two because there is no right way to do it.

Tevez? The year he was knocked out of group here was 13-14, with Tevez leading the attack. He’s also been knocked out of group stage twice at Inter, even finishing last place in his group behind Shaktar and Gladbach last year while winning scudetto. He’s been a massive failure in CL so far. There’s no real arguing that. Failing to get out of group 3 times in 5 is embarrassing

Ofc not. That was ageing Milan squad that started 36 yo Seedorf,... We had prime Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio..Better defense and goalie as well. They had Ibra, thats about it.

Oh man how I wish we had Tevez at this point. What a beast that was...

We could have the Brazilian ronaldo playing for us in his 98/99 form right now and he would struggle in this team. The team lacks so much and the midfield is filth.

We can be crucial of conte and allegri in the past, but running a football looking in the rear-view mirror has fuck all to do with what is happening today. Allegri is fielding some youth right now so let's see how they go...its a start and is different to what he has been doing the past 8 games or so.

Love him so much for his two years here. Wish we could have kept for another couple. I like Dybala, but the difference is night and day.
my favorite juve striker of the last decade, and it's not even close. he was a joy to watch. imagine our mids with his positive, relentless aggression
This. Both. I can't even compare them. Plus I always had a weakspot for players like Vidal and Tevez who run their lungs out and always give so much on the pitch. Tevez was surely underrated and I think he could have achieved much more in his career.

Put both of them as legends then. Clearly two of our best players in the last 10 years

Really poor to give Soule his debut in the 94th minute to stand around the penalty box. No reason that sub couldn’t have been made 5 mins earlier. What a shit debut that is for the kid
allegri doesnt even know how to nurture talent, watch Allegri send Soule to a Serie C side in January then a B side next season then a Serie A team before even contemplating a return to Juve.

Dick move from Allegri, the brilliant youth coach.
Soule will forever treasure those few seconds on the hallowed turf that is Salerno.
