Counter on pace is all this side can offer

Build a fort and attack with pace.

tek
Cuadrado de ligt Bonucci chiellini sandro
Locatelli danilo

Chiesa morata kean
Not that I disagree, but how is that gonna work out when most teams in the league are gonna park the bus against you?

At this point we have to seriously consider whether it's worth moving Chiesa further from goal for the sake of putting Dybala on the field.

You could easily say this is better: Chiesa-Morata-Cuadrado
Yeah, I'd take that instead of Dybala.

It's not better because the midfield can't create anything even if their lives depended on it. Even initiating a counter with a quick ball forward is too difficult for retarded Bentancur ans always in sleep mode Rabiot.

As much as I'm a fan of 433, it seems to me we can't play it, because we need to field two imbeciles next to Locatelli.

This squad screams 4231 for me with Dybala dropping back deep to help with moving the ball forward and offering some creativity. He would also be useful for the CF as neither Morata nor Kean are Ibra level forwards who can lead the forward line.

I'd start with Rabiot - Locatelli pivot behind Dybala and Chiesa - Cuadrado on the wings tbh. Kean and Morata to battle it our for the CF role.

Watch Allegri make a LW Mandzu out of Kaio Jorge and build a fort in midfield of Loca and Benta while Chiesa keeps swinging in crosses on Keans head that scores as many headers as CR did. Meanwhile Dybi regained his form of 17/18 as the coach that understand him is back and becomes serie a top scorer (just before Kean)

/end dream/

so i had hope in allegri thinking that we would sign another good mdfielder and gosens for lb and also keep ronaldo. that way we can play 3-5-2

but since that didn't happen i just don't see this season being good. this squad is weaker than his last season here. he doesn't have matuidi for the workrate in mid. he doesn't have mandzukic for workrate in attack. chiellini is older and no douglas costa coming from bench as a super sub.

i just... i don't think this season will be a good one. we are in for a painful season unless arthur and locatelli can carry this midfield

do teams do that against us anymore? i notice way more teams pressing us becuase they know how easy we crumble under pressure and give ball away. i think counter could work

I think in possession, this could be better. My issue for a while now is we cannot get the ball back with 2 strikers. So I think you will see more of the same from our 2 matches this season where we drop deep into two banks of four and Chiesa is nullified.

I might even prefer Chiesa as a striker at this point after seeing him against Empoli.
