That is the most annoying about the exit to Ajax is that we left the competition without a fight, we just accepted the defeat and repeatedly said that the CL is difficult and they deserved their win.
I remember here reading comments saying Ajax is a better team when we lost to them

Spurs should have smashed Ajax tbh. That aggregate scoreline was very flattering to Ajax.

Ajax are not a better team, they had a better approach than us. They wanted to win, what we wanted was not to lose.

Quagliarella's performance this year is one of the few beautiful things Italian football has had in many years. It's impossible to be mad about it.

CR7 will be the best striker next season, when he has proper midfielders behind him.

One more thing: I am one of those who said Ajax was a better "team" than us. Except Ronaldo, they had players in every line that could get in the team that played Ajax. De Ligt was a great physical defender, while we played with Rugani and Bonucci. De Jong can do the job that Bentancur and Matuidi cannot do joining their forces together. Ziyech was more direct and less error prone than Bernardeschi. While Alex Sandro had one his better performances Nico Tagliafico was on par if not better.
Ajax team has been playing with each other for a long time and they could find each other in their sleep, while we couldn't complete 2 passes. They could, and they did press us high up the pitch. We tried to do this in first 30 minutes of the second leg and we looked ridiculous.
These are the reasons Ajax was a better "team". I don't think any match day decision could've saved us. We fumbled this season from start to finish.

Agreed completely

People thought I was mad too treating the tie as if we got a fluke defeat but the reality is they outplayed us fucking comfortably.

They pulled off so many passing moves in those two games against us that I don't think we've even gotten close to executing in the last x amount of years. Their link up play made us look stupid. They done to us what we couldn't do all season to shit teams in and around the box

The only team we could do something similar to was Man United in Old Trafford. Our pressing game in Ajax second leg was so pathetic.

Allegri has his book presentation ATM, Paratici and Cherubini is there. E molto semplici is the name of the book. Are they there to show him support in his new job?

I think he will stay, Kloop, Pep and such coaches is not realistic, they will stay.

Poch, Sarri, Mourinho, DD, Gasperini more realistic but not certain.

Easy ones S.Inzaghi, Spalletti, Mihajlovic (not worth it IMO)

Allegri: 'Best Juve game was defeat'
Football Italia
Max Allegri discussed man-management, irritation with the “theory” part of football and why the best Juventus performance of the season was a defeat to Manchester United.
He was speaking at the presentation of his new book, ‘E Molto Semplice’ – It’s very simple – and explained why this was not just a book for football experts.
“I don’t write about tactics or techniques in this book, because in Italy everyone seems to know about those. Some even know more than me,” smiled Allegri.
“I think it’s a book that can help you understand how to deal with certain situations, not just in football. For example, it’s about human resources, which are fundamental whether you are a Coach or the manager of a company.
“Often nowadays, a Coach has to be a psychologist. He also has to follow his instinct. At times, I get asked these questions about strategy and it makes me irritable, because I believe far more in perceiving the game as it’s developing, understanding various moments and what needs to be done.

“It’s difficult to describe, because in those moments, either you’ve got it or you don’t. The rest is just theory, because you can prepare all you like, but once the game starts and things happen, your strategy must change and you throw everything you worked on during the week out the window.

“At that point, what matters is what’s in your gut, as well as courage.”

Juve crashed out of the Champions League in the quarter-finals against Ajax, but had some highlights in the tournament this season.

“Valencia, Manchester United, and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League were three great games. With Valencia, we went down to 10 men, and that was when the true Juve DNA came out, concentration, aggression.

“We wanted to prove that even after Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off, we could still win. Then against Manchester United, it was probably our best game, but nobody remembers it because we lost.

“We threw it away at the end, and that just shows you, that in football you don’t win if you only play 85 minutes.

“It was better than our performance against Atletico, because against the Spanish side we didn’t play as well, but we took all of our chances. In that match, we had nothing to lose and everything to win.

“Those were all different games, two of which we won and the other, which was our best performance of the season, we lost.

“I say this because no match is the same as the last, every situation is different, every season different. It is not an exact science, because who knows if the best Juve player of this year will be the best player of next season?"
