In retrospect, the Higuain purchase, especially for that insane amount of money, was a mistake. We fucked up the midfield, and now have insane depth in attack, but a malfunctioning strike force. Go figure! :sigh:

If we sell Dybala, Marotta and Co. should just fucking resign. Enough of this BS policy which only weakens us long term.
Dybala is a striker, not a playmaker.
Either play him close to a goal, or bench one of dybala/higuain. Sadly dybala form make it easy for Max to bench him.

But that's not entirely on Dybala. He's playing in a position that asks him to do things he is always going to struggle with.

I thought this thread was bad with anger at the coach...try browsing the FIF match thread when Cuads and Higuain scored.

GordoDeCentral would have had a field day there.

Yes, but not entirely max fault too..
With oue mids, how you could play with 2 striker formation, he spent all season tingkering and couldn't find any suitable position/formation/approach to suit both dybala and higuain.

And i think max is one of the best when it comes to tingkering. I still think higuain done great for us, when juve buy higuain, we're in need of proven striker. It just too bad both of our striker can't suit each other.

Definitely, the biggest issue is the midfielders

Interestingly Allegri speaks about not believing much in scheme's and tactics
More so getting the ball to your best players feet and asking them to win one on one's

It sort of explains the way we attack
Not to say there isn't a plan but I think it's more about creating mismatches and being good technically
The problem with that approach is when your creative forces like Costa or Dybala is in bad shape, we dont have any alternatives. Also I dont really think we are good at creating mismatches, as our possesion game is extremely slow. Whenever you see Costa get the ball, he has 3 men standing on his toes, and Dybala gets the ball on our own half most of the time.

Just finished rewatching the game. It was so painful watching the way we played, we were all over the place, Pjanic should have seen red tbh. I still don't know how we managed to win this game. We weren't parking the bus but it was worse in my opinion, when you lack of character and the desire to win. I don't seem to find any explanation to our passiveness, if it isn't Allegri's fault then there must have been be a major fall-out between him and some of the players, similar to the Bonucci episode. Only time will tell.

People think he is parking the bus. FFS what are you watching :howler: We had every attacker we own on the field, even one at fullback. We were in absolute shambles protecting a 1 goal lead for 5 minutes against 10 men. Where is this bus? We just have bad players who can't break the opponent.
Yup, we didn't park the bus.

But we did fall asleep many times during the last 3 games.

That's the difference.

Allegri basically said that once we go into game management mode we fall asleep and everything slows down way too much, these aren't his instructions

That has more to do with the quality of the CM's we have imo. They don't have the quality to connect the field and push forward for 90 mins

That's a lame excuse. He choses the guys in the field. We actually have a lot of players with better ball control game in Berna, Cheesio, Bentan... if he wants to have the ball he would at least try a little bit more with others set in the MF during the season. For god sake he even used Stu as LW so he's up to try things but just the one he, for whatever reason, only understands

Besides his preferences are very clear, IMO he has a lot to do with that Pipa(94)=Pogba(70 something) + a moratta real shot (20 somethings).... that's why he's pushing so much for Gonzalo, like against Napoli when Gonzalo did a long pass and almost throw the ball out of the stadium and Max was cheering like a teenager and yesterday he was pushing Paulo after his two assists... nonsense

IMO Max and Mou are almost the same in the way they always find some narrative to excuse themselve other than put the chess like Zizou, Simeone and Pep does all the time... I loved what he has done but right now I'm up for a change cuz Max is gonna push Paulo out of the team without any doubt and for me It's a break deal thing
