We created nothing in 90 minutes against Madrid in the CL final. We created almost nothing in 180 minutes against Barcelona in the groupstage.

I refuse to believe that this is because of our players. Far worse teams than us have created more chances and scored goals against Barca and Real.

There is a clear problem with our transition from defence to attack. It’s really bad and slow. This has been a problem since the start of the 2016/17 season.

So you cherry pick 2-3 games out 60? Not even Barca or Real Madrid dominate every game. Also, why didn't you pick the numerous games where we blew away teams in the first half hour? Besides, you picked really bad examples. We were very good against Real in the first half. We fell apart physically and mentally in the second. The second game against Barca was very disappointing for sure, but we had such a depleted squad for the first game that the result was almost inevitable.

Proof of this? I seem to remember the squad being fine

I agree, except on one thing, we created against Madrid in the first 45 minutes, Pjanic had a good attempt and then there was our goal, I'm sure there were more I don't remember.

We were missing Chiellini, Cuadrado, Mandzukic, Marchisio and Khedira (Howedes and Pjaca as well). We had to put people like Caligara and Merio (I still don't know who he is) on the bench just to make up the numbers. Also remember that we were doing just fine till De Sciglio limped off the field in the 41st minute.

The starting 11 is pretty strong apart from Bentacur

I wouldn't say it was a depleted squad and a loss was inevitable that's a bit extreme

I picked those games because they were against elite opposition. It’s easy to create chances against Serie A teams because we have so much more quality than them. When we face a team of equal or better quality, that’s the real test. Then it requires teamwork to score. That is where we fail.

In the first half against Real, Pjanic’s volley was the only half-chance we had. Mandzu’s goal was not a chance, it was a wondergoal.

The team that we put out there in the first game against Barcelona was more than good enough to at least create chances, which we didn’t do.

We don’t create enough, simple as that. Our off-the-ball movement is poor and our forwards lack chemistry. This is down to coaching.

I agree with this.

Ever since we have tightened up at the back, we have been pretty poor going forward. Part of it due to Allegri being stubborn and have his favourites play week in week out.

And its hard for our attack to remain consistent and 'click properly' when you chop and change every odd game.

Try and make some time to watch the full highlights and not just the madrid/barca fans youtube channels version of both games before you post because in both games we had other several good atacking-plays.

1) Against Real Madrid besides Mandzukic's goal we had other 3 very good chances wasted in the first half only while unfortunately we crashed both mentally and physically in that second half.

2) Against Barcelona in the first game to answear to @Vialli_92 aswell, we had at least 5 really good clear chances wasted in that game even with an experimental squad while we could'v have taken the lead in the first half if not for poor finishing... and just to clear things out, how exactly is it not a dismantled squad when you missing Chiellini, Mandzukic , Khedira , Marchisio , Cuadrado , Pjaca and Howedes? You guys don't seize to amaze. :wallbang:

I understand the fact you both entitled to an opinion and want what is best for the team but please, STOP sharing facts and statistics which are the result of your own imagination.

Yes, it's obvious things didn't go our way in those games, but let's be serious now and not just iggnore their real full outcomes just for the sake of argumenting your personal opinions.

I fake fan last game but as far I can read we were awesome...

Getting the team prepare for Spurs, great timing for Paulo days-off so Max can let everyone else to shine at their maximum level

The home game against Spurs has 0-0 written all over it. Pochettino will park the bus just like he did at the Bernabeu. Max will field Higuain and Mandzukic together again, which means slow buildup and passing. The game will be a snoozefest unless Costa and Berna start (no chance of Berna starting).

At Wembley it will be more interesting. Tottenham will attack at home, and hopefully Paulo will be back and firing on all cylinders.
