Max needs to give a back line a good run of games without constantly changing the lineup (Asa/Sandro, Licht/Stu/Barz, Benatia/Rugani, etc).

I think the Rugani-Chiellini pairing is the best duo we have, easily. Sandro should hardly ever need a rest and should be playing. Licht/MDS only for RB when both are fit.

To answer your question (I forgot to ) - Once the backline is set in stone more or less I think they will grow as a new pairing to finally move past the Bonucci void. It will take time but I still am confident the leaky defense will sort out soon enough.

Why?

Any defense gets better with continuity. The more games they play together the better they should get. Also Sandro has bee off form and everyone knows he will go beast mode at some point. Already looking good but will find his feet soon. Also Howedes could add some much needed stability to the right side. He didnt leave Germany to sit on the bench so when hes fit I think we will play a pretty versatile back 3 and 4

Yeah but everytime we sell key players, we have a bunch of people here who justify the sales and state their 'opinions' as facts and shove it down the throats of people who disagree. While you choose to remain silent at those times. You know which people I'm talking about. As long as there is a positive spin to those people's opinions , it must be true and FACT I guess.

Why he didn't sub Higuain was beyond any logic, lets keep just one CF in front that is struggling to hold any ball for a quite long time, allow to the rival to keep pressure high, end any chance of counter attack on Pipa's feet and made Paulo go to the right

Thank god they r shit in aerials duels and Rugani amend his mistakes with a goal and one assistance.... Max is being a retard wenger level in this game, I guess he was thinking about build confidence to our 90m guy in a game that anyone could made a goal, except Pipa of course

Subbing Dybala instead was much more logical choice. He was dead and it was the opposite of type game that was ideal for him after the red card, besides assisting from freekick. Had to work much more off the ball wide , not quick enough for counters and was misplaced in left side out of necessity (his job became getting fouled for freekicks, but that wore him down). Costa for him made sense. Speed and natural winger, left more space for Khedira to push centrally.


Taking out Gonzalo would been stupid. We needed reference point up top, and Higuains only alternative as box presence CF got himself sent off...



No one on the bench that can do Higuains job. Someone had to occupy the defence attention in the box so Khedira could get the space he got.

Pipa didn't hold the ball properly ever, he took all the wrong choices u could possibly take. Max was an asshole, JGC was the best player in our team so he could put another MF and let JGC in the wing, we did neither, we put a weird 3 MF in some parts with Juan like RCM and switching to 4 with Paulo in the left in others, letting just a useless Pipa in front.

So do you think our goal was only to counter? No because max didnt trust our defense sitting to far back so we tried to play in to feet and get our team out of the back so we could get numnbers forward. You judge the decision to leave Higgy in based on what tactic you wanted when thats not what we were going for.
He held the ball well quite a bit actually and linked up well. Cuads was a fantastic player this game I agree. What did you want him to do? He was all over the place and on of our main outleats mainly due to them attacking that side of the field. Im confused what you didnt like? You wanted there to be more counters? Did you want Dybala as the lone striker?
