While I don't think the defeat was mostly Max's fault (I'd say it's 50/50 with the players), I fail to understand what the fuck he was thinking with that line-up.

Also, stop playing Sturaro, he's not even material for our bench. For some reason Lemina is not being played and it's hurting the team and his development.

It's not just an off day, it's been happening quite often.

Sure, we're still on top of the league and topping the CL group. So credit gotta be given where due. But we lost both "derbies" and got ran over by a mid table Genoa side. It's not the end of the world but it's a cause for concern. Like i said before this whole idea of "we're allowed to play bad during this period of the year", i just don't buy it. A lot of times we've been dependable on luck alone. Serie A teams offer little to no competition right now and for the last 4 years but this is bound to change sooner or later.

I do agree with the second part though. We seriously lack a leader and a tougher somewhat reckless CM. Hernanes is soft as fuck, So is Khedira and Pjanic is a little flower on the ball. Sturaro is not a good enough starter and neither is Lemina.

In fact, I fucking hate this midfield now. Marchisio is the only one really on par with what the Juventus "brand" represents and as someone mentioned, he used to be our arguably 3rd or 4th "best" midfielder not too long ago. That should tell you where we're at...

I guess with all the injuries, we have to try grinding our way to the winterbreak. Staying top of Seria A and securing top spot in CHL, while renovering most of our injured players should be the priority. Then after the winterbreak with, BonBon, Dybala, Pjaca, Barza, salves and a fit marchisio, we have to start raising our game.
If we play like this all season, then Allegri's future in the club should be in serious doubt, even if we manage to get that 6 Scudetto in a row.
There is no plan, chemestry, passion in this team and that has to be put on Allegri.
In the summer we need a complete overhaul of the midfield. Only Marchisio should be safe. I would like to keep Lemina to. Sell Sturaro, Khedira, Hernanes, Assmoah. Pjanic to if we need the money to get quality starters. Witsel and Bentacur looks like certain signings. Then we need 2 starters. The dream must be someone like Veratti and Dahoud.

Pep's City no longer steamroll opponents these days. They look very out of sorts after the start to the season they have had. I agree with the sentiment.
No idea what Max was thinking today. Alves as CB with Licht playing as wingback was mind blowing really. That said, I'm not too worried. I think we'll pull it through into a working system by new years' and that's all that matters to me.
My main concern is the matches against Torino and Roma. With this kind of display we will suffer.

If we had won I really doubt you'd have said that :D

The is coach is responsible for instilling the mentality and make sure the team the approach a game in a good way imo.

Look at Simeone, Conte, etc.

The players are equally to be blamed, they're the one playing though
I don't give a fuck about Conte since he left us but in his era I don't remember that we conceded 3 goals in Serie A especially not in the first 25 minutes.

Why though? There's nothing to disagree with what he said. Both the players and the coach are responsible for the performances a team puts in.

There are no two ways to look at it; the coach is the one pulling the strings, he's the one in command. He's the one to punish or fire them up when needed. He's also the one who picks who will be in the first team.

It's his job to make sure everybody is in a good state of mind when on the pitch. He can't, of course, control what happens in the outside world, but again it's his and the players' responsability to, in a professional manner, perform as they're expect to.

You can't blame the players alone. You take away the tactical aspects of being a coach and what's left? Leadership, motivation, and sometimes bond. I've seen many and I mean many Brazilian coaches Through out the years who were truly tactically inept but were fantastic motivators and leaders. Sometimes that's all that's needed when you already got intelligent experienced players.

So Yes, players having a poor mentality is most definitely his fault as well.

Off day  our whole season's been a big, fat, stinking offday
Omg

Had a good laugh, brah.

I'm not too happy with our performances and feel close to what CK pointed out and at times really dislike our midfield. No grinta there. Pjanic should have been iceing on the cake not the cake itself but this has been a good season so far. Results wise even if performances are somewhat lacking.

You don't understand that CM is not important for modern international football. We are shifting towards a winger-based gameplan, thus the addition of lethal winger Dani Alves and Evra extension. Getting our CM streamlined was a necessary sacrifice towards adapting the more contemporary brand of football

I'm done with this forum for a while. Bunch of entitled, whining, bitches here. It doesn't matter if we win, lose, or draw... it's the same pathetic meltdowns after every match. 5 straight scudetti, 2 straight domestic doubles, a CL final two years ago, and first place in the league and our CL group this year, and this forum has been in meltdown mode for 2 months now. It puts me in a bad mood to visit this forum because all one reads is over-the-top negativity and whiny fucking bitching about every little thing. Disgusting. And I don't have time for it. I watch Juventus for enjoyment, not to be a part this irrational and pathetic fucking nonsense.

I take it you must not have seen today's game then. Because the majority of the criticism is most definitely warranted after a game such as this one.

O come on. You see this team has problems, don't you?
