The way most of our players are bigging up the fact we got a 0-0 draw at home to Sevilla is worrying

Teams outside Serie A don't fear us, and why should they when it's us playing negative teams to counteract them and not the other way around.

Since years our coaches think our defence is made of cheese and need to field so many defensive players to "ekeep things compact"...but they fail to see that we need to score goals to win...specially against a second tier team at home. We are second tier too, but among the 2nd tier teams i think we are VERY strong.

Playing so defensively in our first game at home is very very worrying.

To be fair you arent going to have as much seuccess in Europe by default because the level is higher but I get what you are saying
Ye of course we know Europe is a different level to Serie A. How ever we always seem to adopt the approach of not to lose rather than playing more adventerous to win.

That approach is fine against the best teams as you must be cautious not to allow them too much attacking threat but against teams like Sevilla at home there is no reason we should play so conservatively especially when they are allowing us to have the majority of the possession in their own half.

"It's very hard", "we did what we could", "we aren't better than them"... WTF I always feel proud of this Team cuz we always show a winning mentality, first Allegri season IIRC since game one in UCL Tevez and Vidal always said we came here to try to win this shit.... And as we.all remember our ucl.season the year before.was a huge failure. So now we have better players and we have more.experienced in this competition from last two seasons.sooooo why are you sounded.like an Arsenal, PSG or Napoli fan?
not always coaches say things they really mean. Allegri is a smart guy, he wont go to media and talk nonsense just because. there is a reason behind everything he says, but dont question the ambition of the club or him because of it. im just gonna say, every player we signed this summer said the same thing - i came here to help Juve win the CL

It's no just what he said, it's the whole package, how did he prepare the game? When he made the subs? Pjaca-Dybala? What he said after the game

He choked it hard yesterday

its the 1st game and if we finish 1st in our group no one will care about this game. ofcourse we all expected a win here but its not the end of the world, as long as the rest of the group stage goes well

It was bad though. Evra and Asamoah instead of AS and Pjanic were rather obvious mistakes, that he tried to correct but too late. I don't understand why is he so persistent with Evra starting our important CL games, because despite the vast experience he simply isn't good enough anymore for these games. And you have AS in prime of his abilities coming on as a sub. Shocking.

He's 26 yo FB, he's physically at his peak. Tactically maybe not there yet, but always a better choice than Evra. He can create, dribble, run past his man and has decent shot at him. All what we missed yesterday.

Buffon, Alves, Bonucci, Barzagli, Chiellini, Khedira, Lemina, Dybala and Higuain were all playing the game, no?

The meltdown in this thread is pathetic.

Y'all sound liek a bunch of spoilt kids. We didn't play well and Allegri made some questionable decisions. But some of the doomsday tendering post here are just beyond stupid.

Barca just lost at home to Alaves and then went on to absolutely trash Celtic. It ain't as simple as your FM2016-brains seem to think. Had Khedira and or Higuain scored, y'all would ahve sounded completely different 'cause y'all emotional state judges the game.
The moment Sandro and Pjanic came on we looked 1000 times better.

I'm not having a meltdown but Allegri used pussy tactics this time. I'm confident he'll learn though.

Allegri is a great coach but not a risk taker and stubborn as hell. Give him the best attacking talent in the world and he will still find excuses to play it safe and employ workhorses as Asamoah, Sturaro, Padoin, Evra, Manzdukic etc. This approach works in Seria A because our quality is too much for the other teams but in Europe our bare asses are ready to be raped. We won't win anything in Europe if we don't change the attitude and evolve our priorities. As of now this team is build to win easily Seria A and the main focus is on it. The management, the coach and even the players use the Italian championship as an excuse to not perform in CL.They know they are almost guaranteed top 3 finish when they drop from CL. And this will satisfy the fans. The obsession with Seria A should stop and with it the constant talking of Juve fighting on all fronts. This is an illusion as of now. We have to set up new priorities taking into account the achievements of the past years and the expectations burdened upon us. The big football and money are in the CL. I won't be sad if we don't win it but we should try. Now we are not trying. We are just pretending.

not a risk taker? he started Sturaro in Madrid, the most important game in the last 10 years for us

Allegri remembered how Evra got dispossessed by Vidal last season so he trusted Evra more than AS.
or he simply wanted a fresh AS ready for inter, could be

Or Pjanic wasent fully fit. Or he wanted to keep Sandro sharp

Or, which has crossed my mind mostly, he replaced a few players(evra hadnt played yet and pjanic was just back and had allready played 2 in a row), and wanted to see how the team would do against a european opponent with most of the creativity removed.

I cant help but notice the things we learn from this

WTF are you talking about? What risk did he take exactly with deploying defensive midfielder while no other better options were available? This only confirms my view that he prefers safety over anything else.
