we made a complete overhaul in the team during summer. Buffon, Manninger, Storari, Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonucci, PDC, Grosso, Sorensen, Marchisio, Pepe, Krasic, Del Piero, Quags, Toni, Matri were the only one from 10/11 that remained with Buffon, Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonucci, Marchisio, Pepe and Matri for half a season as the only starters and PDC, Quags and Del Piero the only others with significant playing time. Conte deserves credit though for making all the new puzzles click, but that team was no bunch of losers for sure
That transfer window was pure sex we wouldn't be here today without so successful summer.

Indeed, it's often underrated how the team improved over the summer and people talk as if Conte had bunch of scrubs to work with. We added 1-2 signings in every area, Licht in defense, Pirlo and Vidal in the middle and Vučinić in attack. Conte gave the team final impetus, setting the right mentality and made us pretty much invincible.

Thats my evaluation of that season. There is a lot more to say about other seasons or your evaluation of both coaches in general but try to stick to this season in particular and tell me where you disagree.
I think I made it very obvious where I disagree whenever we touched upon this subject.

As much as i admired what conte did at juve, and that was bring us back to the top of Serie A which many before him failed to do, I can't get past the fact that our CL runs were miserable, and not winning that EL was a joke.

Allegri has been amazing...and to lose pirlo, vidal and tevez in the summer and still manage to bring this team that looked down and out at the start of the season to where it is now is amazing.

And to be honest, after watching yet again the highlights against Bayern in Germany, we should have wrapped thatgame up before they even scored their goal. Morata scored a legit goal that wasn't allowed and he had a few other chances which he should have buried. Cuadrado's miss basically on the goal line was another chance. i can't fault Allegri for that game...the players need to take a lot of responsibility.

do anyone has full details about the home grown rules, i am not fully aware of it.
You can register only up to 25 players for Serie A, of those 25 atleast 4 players have to be youth products from any Italian club (including us), and atleast 4 players must be our own youth products. Also (this is the rule for CL but i guess it applies here too), to count as a homegrown, a player has to spend atleast 3 seasons between the age of 15 to 21 at a club. Pogba and Rugani for example spent only 2 seasons here between age 15 and 21 so they dont count as homegrown

Allegri: 'Juve contract signed soon'
By Football Italia staff

Max Allegri praised the “mental strength” of Juventus to beat Empoli and hinted his contract renewal is imminent.

Mario Mandzukic got the only goal of the game in Turin, but Empoli ended up with more possession overall.

“Winning games is absolutely not easy and it becomes even tougher towards the end of the season, especially as Empoli are a side that play good football,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“At this stage of the season the results count for even more and I have to compliment the lads, because winning 20 out of the last 21 rounds is no mean feat.

“The first half was a little more disorganised, but we did better after the break. We need that mental strength that the lads showed this evening.

“There was a moment when Alvaro Morata and Paul Pogba were playing as individuals and at this stage any little error can be costly. We have to play simple and improve in controlling the ball.”

Claudio Marchisio and Andrea Barzagli returned from injury, but Giorgio Chiellini aggravated his calf problem yet again.

“Chiellini was fine beforehand and we’ll evaluate this latest development, but hope it’s nothing serious.”

The setbacks did give Daniele Rugani a rare start against his former club.

“He did well, like the others, but young players must be given the time to gain experience without pressure.”

This result ensures Juventus have at least a three-point lead at the top of the table, though it could be more depending on Napoli’s trip to Udinese tomorrow.

“Napoli are right there and if they don’t slip up then we have to maintain this average to stay on top. We must try to win the fifth consecutive Scudetto and then we’ve also got the Coppa Italia Final with Milan.”

Allegri was asked about reports a contract extension with Juventus is already agreed and hinted this was true.

“When we have a free afternoon I’ll meet with the club and talk. I have another year left on my contract anyway, they are happy and so am I. When we meet up, we’ll sign the paperwork.
