He failed miserably in this game, facing Pep's barça many times he should've known that they press like crazy. Morata should've played this game, his best suited at holding the ball, exploiting spaces...
Anytime we recovered the ball we tried to pass to the MF which is a beginner's mistake against Pep's team because they press in the middle. We should've skipped the MF and played long balls to Mandzukic and Dybala.
Playing this 4-4-2 is $#@!. Either play the 4-3-3 and instruct your wingers to defend or don't play with wingers at all. Our 2 man MF was easily dominated especiallay with Khedira barely running.
+1 our playing style didn't fit our formation OR personnel, I think Allegri could've done better although be made great adjustments which I don't see Conte as being able to make. I mean playing Bayern you don't play slow khedira need to trust sturaro a bit more.. Honestly for us imho 4-2-3-1 is the only way, with Morata not mandzu..not only is he quicker he is more technical, has more flair...need chiellinis presence and sandro for second leg too..Id try this in practice, need to change a few things..also don't forget Bayern's will be watching videos, they will adjust for second leg too, need to change up a bit got nothing to lose really...when out to counter it will really look like a 4-2-4

Worst formation in a while I've seen posted in here. Dybala as a left winger :sergio:

That formation is the worst post you ever made

Alright be sure to call barca up and argue why they got messi on the left wing...answer might be to pull defenders and create holes? But we can play pogba on left mid, no waste there right?
This post is arguably even worse

Formation is for bayern specifically..and yes no mandzu, not for the style of play we demonstrated in first leg. Mandzu is a power player, can holds the ball up for the team to pull forward...now if you are playing counter football, have no Pirlo for pinpoint long passes nor do we have the space to play long balls against bayer what then?..we play ground passes now honestly who is likely to dribble past a defender Morata or mandzu? Who has a better shot range? Scores goals out of absolutely nothing, needs no assist pass? Yeah Morata x 3

Exactly

The thing is, he is not even being out of order and he gets these reactions lol, but what do we expect from Fr3sh and Zach :D

I mean ofcourse if you prefer countering as we will, its fairly understandable to want Morata to start then because thats his strength unlike Mandzukic. The big croat is the better all around striker for me, hence I generally prefer him starting. But if we not gonna play long balls to him or impose ourselves a bit, its very valid to suggest we should start with a more counter savvy Morata.

The guys formation is another matter tho, complete mess :D But the striker choice of his isnt.

The reason I wouldn't field Dybala there is that he doesn't have pace to leave opponents behind, if we're talking about 30-40 meters runs and that's what he would have to do consistently if he operates as a winger. IMHO he's so much better closer the the goal, since he's really quick off the mark, but he can't keep this up and usually gets caught from what I've seen so far.
