I'm all for fire allegri bandwagon but been on it for a while. I was surprised to come into this thread and read the reactions, because last night's performance wasn't very disappointing or different from what we saw from conte in MOST of his matches. In fact conte would have started zaza ahead of anyone else and make subs in the 85th min. Conte got lucky coz in matches like these pirlo's set pieces or Vidal's grinta or marchisio's form or tevez brilliance got us that one goal from scrappy frustrating matches.

Wat

You could apply that for a few games this season probably, but not for the one last night.
Yep, not one clear cut, proper chance was created. Plenty of sterile possesion though. And if you're a massive fan of watching the CBs pass the ball to each other...this was the game for you!

In all seriouness, we were only unlucky in one instance, and that was Morata being chopped down when he was clear on goal, and Dominguez not getting a red card.

:agree:

Not just in the CL. These two pulled us countless wins over the years with their brilliance. Games we played much worse in as well.

Well there a lot of half-chances where there was an opportunity and with the right pass it could've easily been a clear cut chance (such as when Pogba got mad at Morata not passing to him), but in my opinion, these are exactly the type of situations where a coach should instruct his players to act differently. Especially if it doesn't happens once a match, but 5-6 times.

That was probably our best chance of the game. Morata definitely should have passed as Pogba was open, but given Pogba's form, wouldnt have shocked me if it landed in row Z :D

Yesterday was a game where we definitely miss someone like Pirlo. He probably would have scored at least one of the FKs we got.

I disagree with the Pirlo bit. We had plenty of chances our FINISHING was what held us back. Tevez would've locked this game down.

I wonder what Dybala has to do in order to get the starting role in Allegri's formation. Obviously fan's opinions don't matter to him but Dybala has so much potential. Its nearly the end of October and hes still shifting around strikers.

Judging by his words, he probably thinks that November is the right time to play him regularly because that worked with Morata last season.

The big difference is that Morata missed the entire pre-season last season and we had Tevez who compensated for Llorente being fairly useless in those months.

You look at our attacking line and then look at what month it is and the fact that he still haven't got a clue on who should be our main starters, and that should tell you how much of a mess we're in. @Osman said it better when he explained why we rely on Cuadrado so much.

I think he either starts taking the right decisions and by that I mean getting the results or he's not fit a club of this size, no matter what and how he achieved things in the past.
Tired of his first 11 selection. Tired of his stubborness with mandz and zaza, tired of his idIoticy with dybala.

He better do something or GTFO. Even when marotta didint gave him his treq, he has no excuses for this lame performances. No fukin way.

- defense: we concede at every 8,5 shots aimed at our goal. that's not "ok" by any means.
- midfield _is our biggest concern. pogba can't find his form, marchisio was injured too long, allegri doesn't play lemina (he was our only good player away at napoli), and while pirlo and vidal regularly assisted our strikers, now there's no creative force in the midfield.
- strikers will start to score once the midfielders start to feed them.
Did you see last two games? Zaza and mandzukic didn't do a single thing right... First one is toó limited and second one is out of shape

In first half we have all those corners and when I saw JGC I knew that It would be a joke (another Max mistake)...
- Last three corners with dybala was a lot better...once of the last BorMon attack came after zaza lost a balls (zaza was another max mistake)...
- Mandzu out of shape (another max mistake)

Toó many fucking mistakes. Only max mistakes. I did blame marotta for our season, but right now is all on max

We have been incredibly unlucky to concede against teams that get 2-3 shots a game on us and that should be pretty understood. You can't have as many shots as we have and not score. Our form IMO falls directly on our attackers not finding consistency and injuries, not the defense.
