Colpo di scena sul fronte Mascherano. Il 20enne centrocampista argentino del River Plate, che radio mercato dava ormai al Corinthians, in realta' non avrebbe firmato alcun contratto con il club brasiliano. Lo assicurano i due agenti del calciatore Aloisio e Ferreira, che invece spingono perche' il loro assistito giochi in Italia. E, in particolare, nella Juventus. E' infatti previsto nei prossimi giorni un incontro con Luciano Moggi per verificare la possibilita' di portarlo a Torino. Il costo del cartellino e' alto, si parla di 13-14 milioni di euro. La trattativa potrebbe concretizzarsi a giugno.

Mascherano non è ancora un giocatore del Corinthians. Il forte centrocampista argentino nei giorni scorsi era stato accosato alla squadra brasiliano di proprieta del magnate iranniano, Kia Joorabachian.

I procuratori del giocatore (Aloisio e Ferreria) hanno smentito il trasferimento: "Mascherano non ha firmato nessun contratto con il Corinthians e lui preferisce venire a giocare nella Juve".

Una dichiarazione che farà certamente piacere a Luciano Moggi che nei prossimi giorni potrebbe incontrare i due agenti a Torino.

Mascherano ha 20 anni e per il suo cartellino il River Plate chiede 20 milioni di euro.

avier Alejandro Mascherano non è ancora stato ceduto dal River Plate al Corinthians, come è stato detto e scritto da più parti nei giorni scorsi. Così giurano i suoi agenti Aloisio e Ferreira, sbarcati in Italia in questi giorni con un chiaro proposito: portarlo alla Juventus. Non a caso oggi saranno a Torino in visita da Luciano Moggi per parlare del centrocampista argentino ( con passaporto italiano) che, a sentire loro, « vuole a tutti i costi venire a giocare in Italia » . Una svolta clamorosa, dunque.

Nei giorni scorsi s'era sparsa la voce che Mascherano fosse stato ceduto al club brasiliano ( insieme a Lucho Gonzalez), ma fino a giugno sarebbe rimasto a Buenos Aires; con loro era in partenza anche Maxi Lopez( per il Benfica) per un totale di 16 milioni di euro pronti a entrare nelle casse del River. L'operazione era simile a quella che ha già portato l'altra stella argentina Carlos Tevez allo stesso Corinthians.

A condurre l'operazione è stata una finanziaria di Londra facente capo a un magnate iraniano, Kia Joorabchian, pare in stretti rapporti con Roman Abramovich e adesso legato al club paulista. Invece Aloisio e Ferreira adesso ci tengono a spiegare: « Maschera nonon ha firmato nessun contratto con il Corinthians, i brasiliani hanno soltanto fatto un'offerta, ma lui preferisce venire a giocare nella Juventus » . Oggi i due agenti argentini diranno a Moggi anche il prezzo del cartellino: Mascherano, che ha 20 anni, costerebbe 13- 14 milioni di euro ( la trattativa con il brasiliani sarebbe stata invece sui 7 milioni). Una cifra molto alta, ma l'argentino è uno che merita. Sarebbe l'uomo ideale per comporre, a fianco di Emerson, una perfetta coppia di centrocampo.

His agents will meet with Moggi today or early this week.

The deal could happen for this season or in the summer.

He would cost 13-20m €.

He as an Italian passport.



I'd pay 10m €.


Would be a great signing. Could be that they want more money from Abramovich though. :fero:

I am still skeptical about Mascherano...would he add anything that we do not already have? My guess is that he will be Emerson's long-term replacement.

Yes he would, square.

He isn't really creative, I'd call him the young version of Emerson: very good defensively and positioning wise, and comfortable with the ball.

Emerson- Mascherano midfield would really be some midfield wall!

I think he would. He's comfortable on the ball and much better than Blasi, Tacchinardi and Appiah. He won't offer the creativity that we need, but it's a start.

Thats the thing, its fairly obvious that we need more creativity, not another ball winner like Mascherano. He might be better on the ball than Blasi, however that remains to be seen. I have not seen much of Javier however the ratings I hear about him are pretty high. I guess if the ratings prove true than he would be a good signing, and our midfield would be very difficult to break down. I suppose Mascherano is better than nothing.

yeah. At least we might get better passing in midfield... nowadays we loose the ball too easy and dont have much passings between the team on the ground. Most passes are from side to side and some desperate longballs I hope that changes...

We will have players from countries that are notorius for creativity and flair, however they will be our two best midfield destroyers.
