Why do we need a CB? We have Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonnucci and Sorenson while for our fullback positions we only have Grosso, DC, Lichststeiner and Motta. Licht being the only capable defender. If he is injured then we're in big trouble so we ought to buy a good back up. Our CB position is covered at least for this season. We need fullbacks, a Pepe replacement and a Pirlo understudy to complete this side not another CB.

Considering that Bonucci might be sold, even if not, he's inconsistent to be relied on next season in the CL.
If Chiellini or Barza gets a lengthy injury we'd be fucked. Imagine if we have someone like Hummels though.

Agreed with the above post. We need quality in defense; Barza is good and all for now, but we don't know how he would perform with 2-3 games a week. Needless to say, I don't want to see Bonucci fucking up by getting even more chances next season. A quality CB and LB are in order

Those positions I stated above should take priority. If we buy new players in other positions we need to sell first. Marotta does far to much buying and not enough selling.

I assume by buying Caceres we will move chiello to Lb for good. Plus Caceres can replace Licht on rb position. I like him a lot.

Chiellini @ CB with Barza is ok for now; hence, a LB in January is a priority. Once summer comes around, and with CL commitments we will definitely need a new quality CB and his name better not be Bochetti or Astori.

Yeah I know.
I meant to say "in summer" in my previous post but somehow wrote winter.
I've already agreed that an LB is the top priority now so that could only entails that we need that LB in winter, and the CB later in summer.
Hence me mentioning the CL earlier.

I think Caceres will be a very good player for us maybe as a backup for all positions but I'm not really sure as a starter. Maybe Licht-Barza-Chiellini-Caceres but I'm not sure if he'll be good enough for CL next season if we get in. €10m seems a bit steep though.

I think Barzagli will be good enough for CL if he stays in the same form as now because he has been immense and probably only on one occasion he was a little at fault for a goal (Pandev's second. But he managed to do well against players like Ibra & Klose so I'm not worried.

One of the reasons I want Caseres here is because I am sick of Bonucci's long balls and his errors.
