I thought this guy was a crock a couple of weeks ago, but he seems to be adapting well and delivering some stand-out performances. It's not hard to "stand out" considering the way the team's playing, but still, good for him. He plays with a lot of heart and he's a tough guy. I like that.

We need more players with his heart and spirit...Caceres is obviously very raw, but his determination alone makes him stand out alongside his lethargic team mates. I like his attitude. The strange thing is that I thought he was more naturally a centre back...yet one of his biggest failings appears to be heading and composure, which are surely two essential attributes for a centre back. Still, he is making the right back spot his own and good luck to him...

That's two. :p... but his decision making is rash as well.

I had hoped that the one thing we could rely upon Ciro doing, was organizing our defenders. And with three young, developing defenders (de ceglie, Ariuado, Caceres), they would have the ideal coach to improve their game. With grosso and molinaro BOTH poor, it surprises me that we haven't seen De Ceglie given another shot at left back...The situation seems better for Caceres, who in Ciro's mind, is now well in front of Zebina and Grugera on the Right...Still, what about Ariuado? And is Caceres likely to be our backup to centreback with Legro, if Ariuado moves to Cagliari on loan???

How can we possibly know that? Zebina has been injured the entire time Caceres was playing as RB.

He has kept grygera out of the side for a while and by default has been in front of the constantly injured Zebina in the pecking order...he has been one of the very few encouraging performers, and why would Ciro drop him for zebina, in this current crisis????

I believe he has better temperament than Johnny Z, but he is still very raw. I agree with "Still, he is making the right back spot his own"

I'd rather see Caceres right now at RB, over anyone else in the current squad.

I did not say that Ciro should or should not drop him for Zebina.

My point is that there is no way for us to know whether or not Caceres is indeed in front of (a fit) Zebina in the pecking order.

If only this guy could lend someone's brain with a clue for positioning...

Love his heart though, gives his all.

He should work on both positioning and defending aspects, but overall he's been one of the bright spots in this dark moment we're going through.
