I don't want us to get rid of him. Firmly believe he's got bags of potential and it's a shame he never got a chance to show it in the WC. In the russia game he was lined up to play the last 5-10 minutes but then croatia had to bring on corluka. Hopefully he gets his chance in the final when croatia are trailing.

Viola hit Pjaca stumbling block
By Football Italia staff

Fiorentina are reportedly still pursuing the signing of Marko Pjaca from Juventus, although negotiations have hit a stumbling block.

The 23-year-old appears to be keen on a move to the Florence club, with personal terms already said to be agreed with the Viola.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the two clubs cannot agree on the nature of the transfer.

According to the Italian daily, Fiorentina want to sign the Croatian on an initial loan deal with the option to sign him permanently next summer.

Juve, meanwhile, are insisting that the Artemio Franchi club commit to an outright obligation to buy the midfielder one year from now.

Fiorentina are thought to be reluctant to do this due to doubts over Pjaca’s physical condition.

He returned from a long term knee ligament injury last November, but made just nine appearances during a loan spell at German club Schalke during the second half of last season.

Pjaca is not in the plans of Juventus for this season. His agent will meet with Fiorentina today. Juventus wants a permanent sale with a buy-back clause. Fiorentina are working to sign him on loan with a buy-option. (Romeo Agresti)

Sounds like another loan + option + counter-option deal is where that's headed.
