Thats not true, quite the opposite, and the dude doesnt even sprint past defenders like our wingers and Ronaldo does it when they run. Thats all there is to it. He is not making anymore sacrifices than anyone else, there is nothing factual that can be used to support that theory, the evidence we have, points AGAINST it. And my personal opinion and observation is also that he is not very mobile and hard working throughout the game. Our real warriors are other players not him. Lets give credit where it is due deserved and for the right things. I saw the these metrics a few years ago too. He was also completely in the bottom, it is not a new thing. That time it was stats for CL and Serie A too.

Atleast I hope so, I think we can get another striker who can score more goals, while also assisting, running behind the defenses, dribble a man to cause some threat and who can have a higher passing accuracy than 60% and help setting Ronaldo more up too.

I have been saying that he is a tall bloke with good aerial abilities and a quite decent conversion with what he gets served in front of goal, pluss he creates some randomness due to his random appearances in attack and defense from time to time. I consider him an Allegri favourite (a useful one when used right), just like he also favors Khedira, whom we all seemingly hate.

Mario has rarely played for us as an outright target man, you noodle. And you have frequently asked for Mario to be benched so we can field Costa instead, by playing different formation, etc.

Mario eclipses Costa in everything but dribbles and km run. I guess there’s something to be said for choosing wisely when to expend energy.

I don't care much about Costa honestly. But regarding changes to tactics I'd rather have a sharp Costa and winger based formation with Ronaldo and Mario in the box, to have a decent shot at CL success. Than believing Mario has anything to do away from goal.
Costa being a lolzilian recently doesn't have much to do with Mario and his merits. The situation is that right now we need every man to perform and play well, Costa, Mario, the whole team. There will be games enough (hopefully).

Mario is one of the most overrated players on this forum. Not because he is not good, but because of the godlike status he has among the saunaboys. From a G&A point of view he is probably on his way to having hes best season in Juve. Still he playes as a CF for one of the best club in the world and he has 9 goals over halfway through the season. Last year Higuain had 23 goals the entire season, and many of the sauna boys were campaigning for him to be sold.
Even though I find the admiration for Mandzu on this forum way over the top, he is necessary in the starting eleven at the moment to get Ronaldo to perform. Ronaldo has always played better with a target man upfront. At the same time our painfully slow build up play, means we are reliant on crosses into the box, were Mario is at his best.
