Look.
We dont know the answers to the various questions about the vidal sale. What we know is this :
- Normal transfers are payed in several parts nowadays
- Vidal is sold for 36+4mil
- That is below his normal valuation
- The 36 mil is all at once
Why, would a club do such a sale ? The Götze scenario, is what brings a plausible answer.
- Juventus wants a cam
- Bayern wants vidal
- Götze is valuated (much) higher then vidal and has a significant wage
- Juventus has done a bunch of ingoing transfers, and completed installments, while it sold player on installments
- Juventus is on low liquidity, bayern swims in it.
Result is that juventus cannot do a "Götze + cash = Vidal" because we cant go do another loan for the needed liquidity for the first installment AND the increased wage+signing fee etc.
A possible solution
- juventus sells Vidal, with 90% of the money beeing payed directly.
=>This gives juventus a significant liquidity to work with.
==>However, Bayern will pay lower then his usual worth, because its not in the normal installments like any modern deal
- Juventus buys Götze in regular installments.
=>Because of the Vidal money, they can now easely afford the initial installment and costs, and the increased wage bill.
