I beleive we haven't lost a game yet in which Maresca started.

Channel 4:

Maresca wants Juve answers Sunday 25 April, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enzo Maresca has been one of Juve’s brightest stars this season, but warns his future is far from decided.

“As far as I am concerned,” insisted the midfielder, “I am more than ready to discuss my contract renegotiation, but all I can do now is wait for an answer from the club.”

The 24-year-old former Piacenza and West Brom starlet is only tied to the Turin outfit until 2005, so failure to organise a new contract could see him leave as a free agent next summer.

“I want to know if I should stay,” he continued in an interview with Turin-based newspaper ‘Tuttosport’, “go out on loan or be sold off.”

There is a queue of clubs interested in the services of the former Under-21 international, including Inter and Lazio.

“Juventus have many doubts for next season,” he concluded, “and one of them is me.”

the only good thing that has happened at juve this season is the fact that maresca has proven that he is one of italy's best young midfield talents.

he is miles ahead of Appiah right now. maresca knows how to control the midfield, he can defend and attack well. he scores and creates goals.

i dont care what wage he gets, as long as he stays. he is the only future prospect right now. all the other youngsters are doing fuk all at the club right now.

Yes Appiah is in Maresca's way.
No, Lippi is. It's not Appiah's fault that the coach prefers him to Enzo, it's the coaches fault! I'm sure that Deschamps and Del Neri would play Maresca ahead of Appiah in midfield.

You're very right, but I meant: Maresca isn't chosen by Lippi, because Appiah is Lippi's first choise.

Yeah, I understand that but I would like to keep Appiah. I think that he could very well develop into a good defensive mid if he's given time, and he would make a decent sub anyways. I say we give Lippi one more year, just because he has been so great with us, and if we don't get back to winning ways Deschamps or Del Neri need to come.
