As I said before, if we don't have any good news about signings by the end of today, I'm going to shot someone :fero:

As much as I hate Moggi, Capello would surely have the final say on who stays and goes. I can't understand why they seem so keen to offload Enzo. Maybe he is better off some where he'll be more appreciated.

what's the point of loaning him? He doesn't need more maturing before he's ready to play for us; he's waited for a long time already :irritate: He's not exactly the youngest player around either

Viola move in on Maresca
Wednesday, 21 July 2004

by Nadia Carminati
Fiorentina are believed to have struck an agreement with Juventus for midfielder Enzo Maresca.
The 24-year-old is tipped to be offloaded by Juve before the start of the season and the club have been in negotiations with the Viola.

Maresca joined the Old Lady five years ago from West Brom and has consistently struggled to establish himself at Stadio Delle Alpi.

He has undertaken loan spells at Bologna and Piacenza and was in-and-out of the Juve side last season.

The midfielder's contract expires next year and Juve have offered no signals that they are prepared to discuss an extension.

New coach Fabio Capello is willing to sacrifice Maresca and it appears Fiorentina could be his next port of call.

Maresca would prefer to stay in Turin but he may have little option but to accept a move to Fiorentina despite the animosity between the two clubs.

The player's only hope is to hold out for another club to come in for his services as Aston Villa were linked with a bid while Juve admitted they would be amenable to using Maresca as bait to land Udinese ace Marek Jankulovski.

ok, we don't deserve Maresca, sell him please... i really prefer that we sell him insted of puting him in this hell of roumors and trying to send him to every team... its obious that Juve don't want him or he will be alredy been with a contract extention, so sell him and let him prove him self... and plsease sell him to a italian team so he can comeback and show us how good he is when he plays against us!!!!:fero:

The issue of "promising talent" could be discussed. Maresca is 24 years old, in that age its time to deliver and yes I known he hasn´t been given the chance to shyne to many times. But midfielders like Emerson, DAvids and Deschamps are players that wins trophies, players like Maresca are good squad players but I doubt he will become more than that. He lacks that winning mentality and consistency of a true champion IMO.

And if you all take a look at the central midfielders we have to our disposal, TAcchi, Blasi Appiah and with Emerson coming, there is really not any room for Maresca. Some of you may say it should be Appiah that should leave, but how quickly we all forget! I still remember last fall when Juve was still doing good and how many of you who praised Appiah as DAvids heir and claiming wee didn´t need Davids. But Juve didn´t play aswell for the rest of the season and neither did Appiah, whats so suprising about that? Obviously its easier to make new players the scapegoats rather than the old heroes I guess!

But I do believe your are right when you all say its better to sell him because I certainly don´t believe that a new loan deal will benefit is carrer

Maresca was the only bright spot for Juve last year bar some excellent moments from Miccoli. He was in my eyes by far the best Juve player in the pitch week in and week out, and one of few players who had desire to win games. And I totally disagree that Maresca lacks heart of champion and skill - he is Juventini in his spirit and has abundance of talent. Beside, while he is no Davids or Deschamp he is player in his own right IMO and only player beside Emerson that has attacking ability from the list. Tach, Blasi, Appiah are DM in their orientation, and offers very little flair that Maresca do possess. I would love to keep hold of Enzo and see how he develops, but I reckon something must have happened between Moggi and Maresca, probably during contract negotiation, and thus he will likely to leave in the summer. It is pitty that player of such talent and youth could be leaving the team but if he does move on I hope best of luck, and hope he realizes his talent.

as nostradamus once said :
in the year of 2004 one of the new worlds biggest ball of the foot teams will be led to regret by a man called moggi it seems he will be blind to a youngsters talent named enzo and this will led to the fall of a countrys (which will be named in the modern world as italy) ball of foot all time champions. The man known to me as moggi will try to replace the gaps with low standard, cheap players a name that rings clear in my head is zebina he will cause the ball of foot club great misery.this club over the years will soon fall from the foot of ball top league and over the years will no longer exist.....this of course will lead to the END OF THE WORLD
