This being said, I am quite a bit concerned about how he would cope with playing a CM role at high level - Serie A and Europe - considering his diminutive stature. He sure has the talent but still ....

I think I should teach you some grammar here. When something is described as superlative in this case "the best" indicates only one person, object et cetera, just because TH. Silva is the best doesn't mean that Mexes does not exist.
