Athirson did make the national team and a bit of a sensation when he was younger. If were as good as inter and milan at forging passports he would have played for us.We in affect totally curtailed his career.

However i do agree marcello is a risk and a risk juve would never take.

the fact is no matter who inter buy, the outcome is 0 so the question is if inter were as good as juve in forging passports.

he would be great i hope juve get him, maybe we can change him into nedved position
:agree: I thought the same thing. With charateristics fast, strong shoot and ability to score a goal, he will be good in LM position.

but we need a left back that can defend and recover well. im not keen on 2 attacking full backs, too real madrid for my liking

me too. that's why i prefer chiellini or balzaretti as LB and this marcelo boy as LM. chie and balza can defend well IMO.

We have already perfect left back Chiellini
Marcelo must be left midfielder for next season
Nobody is perfect.

There is always room for competition.

We must have squad depth.

Beside Chiellini, we have only Balza in left fullback position.

And please change your avatar.

You and Jun-Hide have the same.:agree:

We should have a circulation method in the LB postion ... being a full back is pretty exhausting ... if that marcelo guy is any good why not have him ??

Juventus in Fluminense talks for Marcelo
tribalfooball.com - October 03, 2006

Juventus are in talks with Fluminense for exciting wing-back Marcelo.

The 18 year-old has also attracted the interest of Roma and Inter Milan, but Juve have made a concrete approach for the Brazil international in the last week.

Juve are seeking to convince Fluminense to sell Marcelo for a knockdown £2 million in January.

This is getting serius unfortunately,
why dont we buy players were we really need them?

We NEED a RB ffs, a RM at least, we dont need another left winger this year,
Neddy hasnt retired yet and Marco can do it anyway better than Marcelo,
i quess that means that he will be a sub wing midfielder and Camo is really going, despite his late comments...

There is absolutely no sense on keeping Balza as a sub for Chiellini, Birindelli as a starter RB (Zebi is leaving too at x-mas?) and buying a new LB...

I wouldnt mind another LM, but I would also buy a RM and a DM or AM.

We lack in midfield depth.:agree:

..

This guy is no Athirson or Gladstone for that matter. He's got whatever it takes for a higher level. Him and Dani Alves on the wings would be awesome.

However, I dont see this happining. He'll most probably end up at Roma.
