Yep agree with everybody about Cambiaso and McKennie. I missed a few games in November and December and people were talking like Andrea had been dropping the ball a lot. Just forgot McKennie whoops.

FC7 yeah, but his crossing still needs work. I suppose at his age there's bound to be something that needs improving. Kalulu I totally forgot and has largely been brilliant but he's also had some mammoth brainfarts.

Being decisive isn't Locatelli's job though, his role is earlier in the attacking and defensive phases. Imo he's been superb in making himself available to receive the ball, and his passing has been brilliant. The games I've seen without him we clearly miss him in a big way. We need to figure out what we're doing with Thuram and Koopmeiners (?) around him because he's one of few who we've found a defined role for, and our best performers when in that role.
Don’t know how i forgot Thuram lol, he’s been very good too.

I generally agree with your point of view, but for the part with Locatelli being brilliant with his passing, he’s been alright at best and does make himself available, however he is like the worst midfielder with ‘regista’ aspirations when it comes to key passes in the final third, either doesn’t see the most obvious of passing lanes or when he does see it most times that ‘decisive’ pass that he attempts ends up either sloppy or in the stands, which is actually the biggest criticism i have of him.

That's fair. I'm a real moron but i do like what he brings as a regista. I usually watch and think he's been really good but then read Tuz and he's getting dragged.

i don't even dislike the guy and i think that he actually improved for this season but the fact that he's our captain tells you everything you need to know about jj being jj

we desperately need leadership and one thing is sure, it's not a watered down version of marchisio from milan. this guy is not a leader, wouldn't have been given this opportunity in any juve team i remember since '86. not that danilo would, it's just that our banter era is still very real. ferrero presidente, yildiz 10, locatelli captain, fucking hell

whats the difference really? we had Bonucci as a captain in 22-23 that was low, from the current setup there really is no one to choose to many new player and they have to earn that armband.
Its this kind of era in football globally too - look at other teams: Milan - Calabria, Inter - Lautaro.
Roma has fucking Pellegrini with captain armband lol.
At Real Lucas Vazquez can be a captain (the main one is Modric, but he barely starts), Barca have Raphinha. Compare it to the leaders this teams had in the past, Juve really isnt that bad
Im not a big fan of Locatelli, but really, this could be much worse.

I obviously really like Locatelli and completely agree that this man is not our captain. When somebody else arrives or emerges I hope to god they get the armband and that we don't stick to the seniority thing

I like the seniority rule but it shouldn't lead to Locatelli being our captain. Even Danilo was a stretch... We need to hold on to players like Buffon, etc. for that rule to 'work'. Our age balance is off right now and the scale extremely tipped over when offloading our expensive players...

To be fair we don't really know any of the players personally or what their character is like off the field. A captain isnt about being the most talented.

I've never been a fan of Locatelli and don't think he is good enough to be a starter for a top Juve team but I have nothing bad to say about his character or personality.

Juve's captain is this oaf. I am done with this team until a change happens. Fuck Junktoli, his supporters, Locatelli and the entire shit management that is running us to the ground.

I mean, the only captain material we have is Bremer. The fact that Motta had to keep rotating captains shows nobody really knows what's going on.

He plays more like as a passing hub a little below middle line, he rarely take on players, rarely carried the ball, and more playing like an anchor waiting for the counter from the opponent as the first wall. This can be seen from his progressive carries, succesful take ons, and his touches + progressie passes receive.

Basically he start the transition and stay to cover if the possesion is being taken away by opponents. I really think our posession play can be improve to be more of how Liverpool currently played under Arne Slot. I comparing their midfielders to Locatelli, the most clicked player is Gravenberch. Loca's progressive pass number is really high because he is really deep and every pass that going up the pitch to Thuram, Yildiz, Koop, Chico, etc are considering as progressive pass.

The other things that I get is the lower of number of clearance that being done by their midfield are very low, this is means, they have the courage and confidence to play the ball in the area instead of clear it away and still keep the posession.

Thuram is a poor man McAllister, especially in his defensive phase, his number of tackles, interceptions and block are really low. While Koop is poor man Sobozslai, he need to improve his pass in final third, I know that different league can be hard to achieve certain numbers( like in Italy their defender make the space is more tighter than EPL), but overall if he can improve his passing quantity and quality in final third, and more succesful take ons when he carry the ball.

And again a high number of clearances from Thuram and Loca means, in their position that we better clear the ball for safety than control the ball and dominate the game with our passing, dribbling, or combination. These low number of clearence, is what in the modern coach philosophy as "love the ball"

I can't expect him to have the self respect to quit football , but our management, really , how blind can they be? He just cannot cope in this level!
