So apparently Motta was repeatedly asked in today’s press conference whether Locatelli will be the new main captain of the team but he evaded to answer or confirm it for sure, might mean nothing as in focusing only on the Torino game for now where he will not be available anyway but there’s also a chance that we will continue to rotate the armband instead.

On the issue of captaincy I think until we sign somebody with the right qualities it might as well be whoever has been around the longest. I love Locatelli's football skills but he doesn't seem to be any more or less suitable than Perin or Fagioli or Cambiasso or whoever so it may as well be him. Maybe some people are more vocal in the dressing room than others we have no idea.

I don’t think he can come out and say Locatelli is the captain after rotating it, it’s motivation for the players. Albanese was trying to get him to say it though, and he just evaded the question.
