With a new coach I think he will be a good rotational player. I still prefer him in the B2B role. He's our current best protector as DM although I would have put Fagioli or Miretti there instead as they are better at soaking up pressure, better passers, more variety in their build up and, well greater in all aspects but positioning and battling. That would also allow Loca to make those runs to create space or get into the box but still get back and protect. Long-term I think he's too slow for this but as for now... but again, I think he'll be a good rotational player to have and a good character.

Looks like I’m the only one who thought he had a pretty good game?

Defensively, he was solid as a rock. Made a few errors with his long passes but also made some good interventions and was involved in the set up of the stupidly disallowed Vlahovic goal.
I agree. He could play it simpler though. Take the ball down instead of flicking it on. Simple things where he seems to lack awareness of his surroundings. But our defense stands only as tall as he does.

I really thought this was perhaps his worst game this year. Lots of huge mistakes, awful passes and poor decisions.

His contribution to that written off goal was brilliant, though. I still like him and really am rooting for him to become a bandiera for us, but today wasn't his game imo

Yes exactly this. He needs to remove the part of his game where he loses the ball very unnecessary. Happens with cross passes to often aswel altough he does good trying to master them.

He did have a good game. Surely stopped a likely goal with that block in the first half, then blocked another shot on goal in the second. Then there was his move for Vlahovic's offside(????????????????????????????) goal as well.

Yep. Can’t believe I forgot about that block in the first half.

For me, he’s had a clear improvement in his overall game in the last few weeks. He’s being played out of position all season long too.

Then add onto that Allegri's "tactics" where our midfield and defense are constantly under pressure for a quarter of a match minimum. He clearly has some talent and fight. But you know how Tuz is once they have a feeling about a player.

At times his passing was excellent (he hit an inch perfect first time pass to Kostic early on) then others he missed simple ones 10 yards away. I would say when he gave it away he tended to recover the situation and he seems to be putting in important blocks in the past few weeks. Overall I'd say he had a decent game, but a bit up and down.
