This guy is not Juventus material.
I guess you were one of those who said the same about Kulusevski.
Locatelli is actually a very good player and Im happy we got him. The problem is our game plan which makes everyone look like...

Play Zak in Dm destroyer, Loca and another B2b.

don’t need 9m a season to see that.
But Allegri is already playing the destroyer role.

He is Juve material for being in then squad, like Marchisio was, but not to make the difference , not to push us past the mediocrity we have been struggling with.
It was the wrong choice to get him when we did, we wanted Pogbs or SMS then

I said it all the summer last year, Locatelli alone is not enough.
This is it exactly. He is a very good player if used properly, but we're not playing him in his real position because of Allegri trying to force our team into a strategy we don't have the players for (yet)

I can't wait until Paredes liberates him.

Was this sarcasm though? I can't tell sometimes.

Anyway that is no-joke what I'm looking forward to seeing :shifty:

I should try to be more consistent, either sarcasm all the time or serious all the time. The Locatelli statement was true. The liberating statement was sarcasm as many have tried to convince us that Paredes will liberate Locatelli.

Don't you dare ever change, baby.

If it's not obvious, I'm a Paredes believer. If I was better at Photoshop I'd stick Paredes' face on Simon Bolívar. He's gonna liberate us all :jflag:

Why would a box to box position even suit this guy more that being the deeper lying midfielder? He is nothing like Barella or SMS (or Vidal in the past) that are/were the best B2B midfielders in Italy. At best he would be a Khedira in Allegris midfield from years ago if he was to be playing higher up.

We're not about to set up the team to accommodate this player, it's the opposite. We're bringing this guy in to accommodate the rest of the squad and tactics

I think he will be more of a classic CM and not necessarily a B2B in the Vidal/Barella sense of the role, Locatelli is not that great as a full time box to box and neither as a full time regista but is however good enough at both and can always play as a LCM/RCM that at times also drops deeper to take pressure off Paredes and start moves, also from the same classic left CM or right CM role he can be more involved in the final third overall by not always being so deep and gives him a bit of a free roam to also get more in the opposition box as a B2B type but overall to be involved essentially everywhere, which is what he is good at, not great at something specific but quite well rounded and decently good in every midfield role, rather dynamic in a sense, very usefull and efficient in terms of defensive cover too for when fullbacks or other CM’s are caught further up the pitch.

I see him more as a light version of Goretzka. He is fairly good at coming late into the box/timing his runs into the box. Should be able to score some more goals if he fine tunes it even further.
